Why does this always happen

when the forum starts discussing Dak they always resort to Romo for some reason? It makes no sense to me! Romo won nothing and played his broken body the best he could, now he is gone.

However, every time someone criticizes Dak and his bad play here and there, it's "yeah, but...Romo did this and Romo did that, so see Dak is not as bad as you think he is. He passed for more yards than Romo"!

Who freaking cares!? See, I don't think they actually know what they are doing, because when they always bring up Romo they are actually propping Romo up by trying to compare the two. It make no sense. It's almost as if they want Dak to be like Romo otherwise they would not always bring him up?

"But, Romo got paid big money for doing nothing so Dak should be paid big money too." wth?

You just cannot compare the two. It was and is different times, different teams, different everything! So, why do the Dak lovers always bring Romo up?

Then come the best part about Dak. They are comparing Dak to some of the best QB's that are playing or have played in the past. "Yeah, but Dak is almost ready to throw for more yards than Peyton Manning...so there!" wth?

Dak is a better athlete than Romo, bigger, stronger, so yeah, I'll give Dak that, but trying to go back in time and compare the two is lazy and irrational at best.

The Dak fans....let's bring up Romo's flaws to show how great Dak is and that is the biggest paper tiger on this forum. Dak > Romo.

There is absolutely no way to compare the two because we cannot put Dak on Romo's teams and we cannot put Romo on Dak's teams to get a fair comparison...it's illogical, stupid, lazy and just an attempt to prop Dak up. On top of that, not only are they attempting to prop up Dak by putting down Romo, now they want to say that Dak is almost the same as Mahomes or Wilson?

The Dak fans are lighting paper tigers in a jungle that they just cannot find their way out of, unless they tear down what was a damn good QB that tried his best just to prop up their boy. To me, it's sounds like a lot of forum girls/women that do this...amazing.

Once some Dak fans realize that Dak is who he is, and that we have to live with him this season, don't worry...if Dak flunks out, Romo is not coming back, so feel secure on that.

You are absolutely right.

But most people argue by emotions. They are not able to argue objective when it comes to certain topics.

What makes me sad is that some people here (and not only here its also in other sports too) - people fight for someone or a team emotionally that has no justification at all. Those fans in most cases have zero real connection to the team nor the player. Still they fight for them like they are part of the organisation, they are part of the decission making process or are rekated to the player.

They dream of something they just cant be themselfs but arent able to bare that feeling. Instead of facing their own life they live the life of others. It makes me sad.

I agree with a lot of what you said but I often see Dak haters bringing Romo up. I can see why you focused on the other side given your obvious position on the issue.

As for "live with him this season" be prepared for Uncle Jerry to make sure you'll have to "live with" Dak for several more seasons. Convince yourself otherwise if it makes you feel better, for now.

Dak is playing on the tag because Jerry wanted MORE years than Dak was willing to give him, not less.

There are some on this board that seem to believe that the only reason Dak is criticized is because the person doing the criticizing is still upset about Romo. They can't fathom that someone could see flaws in Dak unless it relates to hating him because of Romo which is about as stupid as it gets. Both QBs had their flaws and their positives. The whole thing is tired. Always bringing up Romo to either degrade or pump up Dak. I generally ignore those topics. I had to chime in here because I totally get your frustration!

both were/are easily top 10 in their time and can win a Super Bowl- the defense in Dallas has been awful for years.

I guarantee you no real Cowboys fan wants Dak to be like Romo. Romo was a turnover machine for most of his career and if not for Philip Rivers and Eli Manning he would have led the NFL in interceptions 4 or 5 times. Romo didn't really stop turning the ball over in bundles until year 8 or 9. Dak is already light years ahead of him on that front. The last two games notwithstanding. I don't know why Romo always comes up when discussing Dak but Aikman always came up when discussing Romo. Basically it's about comparing the current QB to last (good) QB. It's what fans do. If it truly bothers you just scroll on past it. It's not that hard..
