Like what has he done to still be such a fan favorite? He prob makes the most mental mistakes on the team in crucial moments. Yeah, hes tough blah blah blah. But from the celebration penalties, false starts, holding, pass int. Why does he get a pass though? Esp for him being a captain you would think that he would be held to a higher standard.

He blocks. He moves the chains. He puts the team above himself. He has character. He is a team leader. He catches. He plays with heart. TO hates him.

Good enough for me.

That really made me laugh.

Cause hes a TE. If he was a lineman, it would be illegal to pass the ball to him, or a QB, would be hard to pass to yourself, though I did see a QB for Pittsburgh names Gillen do just that, but since hes a tight end, hes legally allowed to catch it, so therefore he gets a pass every now and then, Williams and Austin also get passes and occasionally Dez and the RBs do too.

Although if he were a lineman, he could declare himself eligible and then actually legally receive a pass as a lineman.

You are so right. I do not know what's wrong with me, but I will promise you one thing right here and right now. After Witten has that one-on-one nationally televised interview with Deion Sanders, him and me are through. Finished. Kaput. That'll fix him.

Bravo!

I've hated Witten ever since he publically accused his quarterback and a receiver of secretely drawing up plays.

That was the last straw.

Well if the receiver in question could run a route and hold on to the ball, maybe they would not have to use the dirt to come up with a play he could run. Even then he still dropped the ball 1/2 the time.

This whole fiasco about drawing up plays was the players fault totally. Witten was just being the watchdog barking when he saw something not right. Good dog...

I know who did what....

I refuse to give any respect to that player.

As a coach I hated also once referred to him as....The Player, so he shall forever be known in this house.

I put Witten as one of our most overrated players. over the last 2 seasons His play has droped. Bad penalties at bad times, He has no speed at all and if the ball is not perfectly thrown He doesnt catch it. he's about as overrated as they get. I like His blocking but that's about it.

It's sad to admit but Witten's play has taken a very noticeable turn starting late last season.

Props to you and the last poster. The other people were probrably one of the ones who locked that TO thread since its making them look ******** now. But yeah, Wittens blocking ability is even overrated.

:laugh2:

So Witten is now a bum according to some of you?

Okay, sure, he needs to get a grip on his penalty problem, but other than that, he has been producing this year as well as he ever has.

Now that Romo's out, we'll likely see a drop in production, but he was on pace for 85 catches, almost 1,000 yards, and 5-6 TDs.

Yep. That sucks alright...

What does all this mean, DallasEast?

Are you saying that if Witten talks to Sanders, you no longer will like him?
