Why don't Jerry go ahead and do it?

I agree. Even the Garrett fanboys know he is 90% a goner. In 10 years he has never proven himself to be a game winning coach. With 5 games left and some tough ones, keeping him around does nothing. If Jerry is committed to moving on (and I am not 100% on this) he should do it. He won't.

Too prideful to admit an mistake that he was dead set on trying to work.

12 or so years in the making, for 2 playoff wins after he became a HC.

Also, the team isn't dead yet, as the Eagles are good at choking this year too.

When does Jerry have time to fire Garrett when most of his days are spent looking like this?

Why prolong the inevitable. It might just be what would ignite this team to salvage the season.

I think because it would be a huge public admission that he was absolutely wrong about the whole thing, and that his decisions and stubbornness cost this team years of time and several careers along the way. Firing Garrett during the season is a much biggest admission of being wrong than simply deciding not to Stendhal him following the season is, when the game are over.

It's all about who doesn't want it the most.

why? EVIDENCE, PHOTO'S? LOL...hell if I know. Jerry is the textbook "failure to launch" of NFL OWNERS.

Sounds like he is giving that thought imo. Never make a rash emotional based decision though. Sleep on it.

With that said I think it's the first order of business this morning.

Calling for an emergency CC meeting amongst members to fix the obvious glaring issues they are neglecting would be a close second.

there lies the problem of this season. the eagles are helping Jason garrett keep his job this year and maybe in the future. because if the cowboys win the division by default then jones will say that he is a playoff coach and extend him another contract. jones will fire the special teams coach and say that he is only coach that did not live up his expectations. also please let rod go too.

He will go on the Fan today and forget all about it IMO.

No, he's gone. The only thing that saves his season is some special playoff run that goes to the Super Bowl, but we all know that's not happening. Making the playoffs isn't enough anymore.

Would you all hire Marvin Lewis as HC if JG was fired? I would. He at least wouldn't tolerate certain nonsense and would bring much cred to the table. I think the players would strongly endorse this.

because its a 4 day turnaround to the next f=game, we are still in fight for first place in the division, and it makes no sense yet..

however O'Quinn the ST coach thats another story.. im betting hes gone after the Bills game if not sooner..the Thursday game turn around is saving some coaches..just no time to adjust..JG will be gone after the season, other coaches well after tgiving we shall see.. Jerry went ballistic and that means hes having some meetings today..

to me thats an overeaction expecting JG to be fired this minute..think a bit..

He probably has a minimum outcome for the season in his head and he'll wait out the season to see the end result.

If keeping Garrett regardless was his intention, he would have given him a contract in the offseason - and he wouldn't have made Kellen Moore OC.

Moore is only a placeholder.

No GM will fire his HC when you lead the Division and are still favourites to make the Playoffs.

Regardless that the Team constantly underperforms and lacks discipline and gameplan.

No one will do that. Especially if your Coach doesnt have a Contract past the Season anyway.

They will let him go with pride & honor. He will praise JGs wonderful work in the offseason before they hire someone new.

Probably because he doesn't want the players or other coaches (other) to lose faith in JJ.

JJ has mentioned on a few occasions about the poor coaching. It reminds me of a parent who keeps telling their children keep it up and you're going to get it. Eventually, the children get corrected.

I truly believe the writing is on the wall JJis going to make changes at the end of the year.

Simple answer: Garett has photographs of Jerry in a compromising position ( it includes Jerry, a horse and a cowboy hat and not much else ) . When you weigh all the evidence it’s the only conclusion one can come to.

after all this time why would he fire garrett with a few games remaining when he knows that would put the team at a disadvantage?

The eagles may blow a bunch of games and allow Dallas to win the division at 8-8 so why risk it.

Plus he has paid garrett a fortune for nothing and there is no reason to not let him finish the season before they all part ways.
