Could we not agree in principle then once June 1st comes around make the trade official and cut Free?

I'm assuming the Chiefs want picks this year. We can't trade out 2013 picks after the draft happens...

Supposedly the asking price is a 2nd. I would trade a future first for Albert. I think he would make a stellar RT.

I thought part of the reason the Chiefs are trading him is that he does not want to play RT.

In the NFL, with the salary cap, you either use draft picks to draft cheap players OR you dollars to sign Free Agents. Getting production from the draft picks is the only way to manage the salary cap. A team could never just have a starting lineup of Free Agents.

It is a bad plan to use both drafts picks and significant salary cap space on a player. You could have just signed a Free Agent.

If Miami does not get a LT in round 1, then they are trading for Albert using their 2nd round pick.
