I know its off topic but we only wore our away uni's 3 times last year. At philly At Wash and At dolphins. They are the nicest looking jerseys in the league i think we should wear them at least 6 times a year. Whites are orginal and nice but the blues kill them and this is not including the thanksgiving game. MORE BLUE!!!!

I guess folks are still going for that bad luck thing. I agree, the throwbacks are my favorite, but the blue jerseys>>>>the white jerseys.

I don't buy that blue jerseys > bad luck thing anymore. We played well in 07 no matter what color jerseys we wore. Really think those blue jerseys are tops in the NFL and we should wear them a lot more.

said it before, i much prefer the blues.

when this subject was brought up before, someone showed no real difference in winning percentage between the blues and the whites.

I prefer the white jerseys, not real fond of the white helmet with the blue star without the outline.

The reason is very simple though it requires a little bit to explain completely.

In the NFL all home teams wore their dark jerseys and the visiting teams all wore white. In 1964 the NFL said teams could choose which jersey they want to wear at home and the visiting teams had to wear whichever one the home team did not.

Tex Schramm observed that every game looked like the exact same game. The Cowboys were in blue and the other team in white. He decided to give the games more variety so he chose white as the color for all home games and the visiting teams all would wear their dark jerseys.

Only 2 other teams in the NFL follow this practice, the Commanders and the Dolphins. So the only times Dallas will wear their blue jerseys are when we play at Washington (which is once every season), at Miami (which is once every 8 years), and if a team decides to use the blue jersey curse psychology. Philly does that every now and again.

The only other times you'll see Dallas in blue is in a Throwback jersey game at home in Dallas. The reason they wear blue is simple. At the time Dallas wore those jerseys, it was always blue at home.

I learned something new today.....no shocker I know. I always thought we wore the white jerseys because of the heat early in the season.

I like the traditional white uniform we wear. I don't buy into the bad luck of the blue but like the look of the Cowboys whites

Why don't the Yankees wear their grey travels instead of pinstripes all the time? :)

Just kidding, the blues are ok imo, but nothing beats the traditional white Dallas uniform for me. I would tweak it up and get the pants back to a grey/silver shade and get rid of the mix between royal blue and navy blue, (see the old photos of Staubach and others), but I like the white jerseys and think they are classics just like the Yankee pinstripes and Celtics home whites.

The white uniforms are the Dallas Cowboys. The white uniforms are not only what they wear, but who they are.

I like the current Dallas blue uniforms, but they don't have a choice when they are on the road of what uniforms to wear. At home, the only choice to make is the white uniforms.

I hate the throwbacks. Especially the white helmets.

A close 2nd is the double blue star shoulder jerseys.

I like the white helmets. Not as much as the regular ones, but I think it's kind of a cool change now and then.

Yes.
But I thinks its because of what the Dallas Cowboys eventually became that we can pull that uni off now as a cool change now and then.

Out of the gate in 1960. It was ugly and cheesy looking. IMO.

The blue jerseys are bad luck. I read that in a medical journal.

The Deadskins changed to their whites at home early in the Joe Gibbs era, I believe. Shottenheimer changed them back to burgundy at home and then Spurrier had them wearing all white (both jersey and pants) at home for a while. The Dolphins have also been inconsistent with which jersey they wear at home, as have, more recently, the Jaguars, Panthers and Eagles. Back in the day, the St. Louis Cardinals and Baltimore Colts used to wear white at home.......

The only way we should wear the blues more is if we go back to the uniform of the late 60's. The grayer helmets and pants. Black shoes.....man I'm a sucker for the 60's NFL uniforms.

I won't be holding my breath.
