Why Hasn't This Guy Been Signed Yet? We Really Need This Guy Now More Than Ever. He Was Just Starting To Look Good When He Hurt His Knee. He Is A Good Special Team Guy With Lots Of Speed. Is Jerry Just Letting The Market Set His Price Or Do We Not Have Any Interest In Him?

Where have you been? We tendered him a 2nd round offer before Free Agency even started. If someone else signs him away we get a 2nd round pick from them as compensation.

As soon as restricted free agency is over(sometime before the draft) he will sign his tender.

Since Dallas tendered him, it has the right to either match any offer he receives to keep him or let him go and receive a second-round pick.

Austin will wait and see if a team makes him an offer before signing his one-year tender and most restricted free agents do.

I understand that! I just thought we might want to offer a 2 or 3 year deal instaed of the 1 year tender.

No one really knows what he can do so it would be kinda stupid.

That's crazy. We have protection right now. Once he is going to stay, then you offer him a contract.

We are going to wait and see if somebody offers up a 2nd for him.

I highly doubt it, so he will sign his tender before the draft.

I anticipate him playing most of this season on his tendered restricted offer, and then if he performs well, maybe midway through the year we'd offer a long-term extension. If he plays really well, and we can't get him signed, he could be franchised next offseason, no?

Depends on if he plays good enough to be a #2.

If he is just going to be a #3, you dont franchise him.
