Why I am not concerned

I think a lot of people are reacting to what amounts to bad luck. Sure Buehler could hit all four field goals, the play calling could be better, we could choose one running back and stick with him, etc., but what has beaten the Boys has been bad luck/great plays by other team's defenses.

The Commander game would have come out a lot different if Choice had not been stripped of the ball. I said stripped, not fumbled. He was trying to make a play! That's what we want him to do. They 'Skins did a good job of taking the ball away from him. That doesn't happen and we win that game.

Same with the Bears. Roy Williams has been playing exceptionally well so far. He got stripped trying to make a play. Again, that is what we want him to do. He hangs on to that ball, we go in and score and it is a different game.

Romo's two ints. were just bad luck. Deflections into the DB's stomach. Again, Tony was trying to make a play and made pretty good throws, given the coverage and room he had.

I am not saying there isn't room to improve, I am just saying this team looks pretty good if not for some bad breaks.

I know that I sound like Crazy Cowboy, the eternal optimist, but that is my perception of the first two games. This team could easily finish up with an 11-3 run, or even 12-2.

This team is close on the field. Now if we can through this locker room adversity off the field.

Of course, winning is a helluva medicine.

I have faith in these Boys... MUST WIN @ Houston in order to get a little confidence & swagger back so we can get us a long string of W's together

If we win at Houston, it would do wonders for our team. Houston dismantled both Indy and Washington.

To be honest, this sunday should be playoff mentality. Its win or go home.

Wow. Couldn't get past that.

Apparently, we should only be concerned if we get blown out. Maybe not even then.

In 1993, we lost our first two and everyone thought it was over. Then they went on a tear and wound up crushing the Bills in the SB. We beat Houston and go into the bye, then come out and play ball.

I agree if we don't win vs. Houston, imo it's over for the Cowboys this season.

I don't know . . . . something just isn't right. Whether it's the sense of urgency for a full game, lack of execution, etc., etc.

I love the optimism and I think you have some decent points in your first post, though I don't agree entirely (the sign of a mediocre team is finding ways to lose), but this is not the 1993 team, not by a long shot.

The 93 team lost 2 bc Smith held out, Wade could not hold Jimmy's hair gel, and that team was DEEEEP at almost every position (ie injuries are going to hurt as later this season).

This team makes it's own bad luck.

All the supposed fluke plays occur so often, you can't call them flukes.

The kick off of Witten's foot. Felix trying to dive on a ball. Roy fumbling after a long completion in GB. Choice fumbling the half away.

Houston dismantled Washington? LOL

Houston was murdered and had no chance to even be in that game.. If Fred Davis doesn't completely blow his assignment on the skins 30 some yeard field goal attempt which ends up getting blocked..

Dallas is going to destroy Houston..book it

In 1993, Smith came back after missing the first two games. No such cavalry is in sight. OL must play better. D must play better. Coaches must get their heads out their butts and do their jobs.

Houston is good, but they only beat Washington by a FG...in overtime.

+1 BOTH these games could have went the other way, and we'd be going into the Houston game 2-0.

Now if we lose to Houston and go down 0-3, well then we're f#$@#! :D

IF Dallas second half schedule had the rams, cleveland few times...they might pull that off...if Jupiter, Venous and Mars were aligned just right....but they have Houston, Indy, NO, Green Bay, Minny @philly @NY.

You beat me to it. Comparing the 2010 team to the 1993 squad is either an outrage or an exercise in wishful thinking. The 1993 Cowboys were defending champions who were missing one of the league's most dynamic players. What's the current team's excuse?

Ha, you and Custer.

But seriously, I don't think yards passing is really our problem, is it? No.
