Jerra is smarter than what we give him credit for. He is not letting Parcells go when money is at stake. He just wants the publicity that translates into selling merchandise. He's enjoying the uncertainty that fans have.
He didn't let Parcells say bye to Zimmer and the special teams coaches if BP would not be here later to hire replacements.
If Parcells was on his way back to New York, I firmly believe Jerra would have wanted Zimmer to stay.
Whether you are among the Parcells boot lickers here or are in the level-headed, pragmatic camp, you have to really wonder why Jerra has made this waiting period into an NFL drama.
The reason is largely Parcell's ego.
You see, Parcells is at the end of his game.
To say that the game has passed him by is trite, cliche. But it is true.
Parcells wanted to be the Giants GM.
Now, having no other option left to him except to COACH THE MOST GLAMOROUS AND WELL-KNOWN TEAM IN THE UNIVERSE, Parcells is resigned to stay and suffer here with measley millions and talent that would make most other coaches' mouths ovulate. (har-har)
So he figures when he announces he'll stay, the Parcells boot lickers will be so grateful.
