Companies that utterly hide how to cancel your account...or almost make it impossible to do so...are sleazy freaks that should be avoided.

NFL.com and NFL rewind are exactly such sleaze types.

They view you as a mouse and their site/policies as a mousetrap. Sign up once...and you're dead.

Advice: Don't ever give them your credit card info.

Buyer beware, so thanks for the heads up.

Clearly it's an auto renew type deal?

Yes...It's auto-renew.

When I signed up I saved the link that you are supposedly supposed to use to cancel... So I launch it and it's a dead link.

I found in their FAQ they have a link on how you can cancel...but you have to either:
a. get on a online chat with a representative
b. call some long distance number

Funny, but neither have been accessible!!!

It sure wasn't that hard to start the service. Funny how it's impossible to terminate it.

Nothing short of a scam, folks.

Hasn't auto renewed for me ever.
I didn't think it was, I have an account from preseason games in 2011 and have never been charged for nfl rewind although I could have easily signed up for it.

I don't think it is auto update.

You probably have to call and talk to someone if you want to actually cancel it and never use it again, likely because you'd be requesting your money back.

prolly cuz your bank updated your card (changed data).

I've never sought my money back. I just want to opt out for the future. That's it. That's all.

The point is this: any and all businesses in this era should be obligated to have cancel account or opt out...w/out jumping hoops.

I don't want to get charged for the services next season.

This is reminding me of what happened when I signed up for MLB online network games in 2011. They resumed charging for me games in 2012 without asking.

I've never had issues with Preseason Live or NFL Rewind.

Sounds to me like this is an operator issue.

I don't think you have to. You only pay for a year the way I understand it.

I never had any issues either. Same CC # nothing has changed. Sucks you are having these issues hope it gets resolved.

I HATE companies that do this, HORRIBLE tactics and makes me never want to do business with them again. I've read America's Test Kitchen website does the same thing with their "trial" membership and it keeps me from ever considering signing up.

If it weren't so expensive/difficult to pull off in brick and mortar stores, you'd see the same crap there. If you've ever been to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, you can see the live version of the same tactic. They built a moving sidewalk to make it easy to traverse the long walk in but when you leave you have to take a cab or hump it hundreds of yards in the Vegas heat

I'd bet money:
You've never tried to cancel.

All the casinos do that. And businesses are learning the same tricks.

The deceit in biz and gov is off the charts these days.

GoDaddy is doing this kind of thing. I advise you: Don't eve pay extra for a lock...what does that lock do...It locks you in! Just try to pull the plug on a registration after you've locked it! You have to go through a gauntlet of fire to kill it and stop the charges.

Maybe you are right. But my experience with other online businesses has taught me not to assume anything of the sort. And my banker has cautioned me to avoid recurring auto pay as one avoids the plague.

Dude you don't think I already have been to that link a dozen times!?!
