Why is an interception like finding a hen's tooth around here?

All three teams have played from behind and …..nothing. Dallas is going to see better QB play going forward so, hold on.

Lack of pressure and no playmakers back there. Balls bouncing up in the air all over the place and bouncing off hands and none of these guys can make a play.

One of only 5 teams without an interception...

I can't remember the last time we had a ball-hawking secondary.

Yet fans keep loading a guy like the Heath. HE is part of the problem, not the solution. And even Jones. Great cover guy, but cant make a pick to save his life.

If Teddy Bridgewater gets too aggressive, he'll throw an INT or two. I hope Richard's secondary gets better at bating the QB to make those aggressive throws. Let's see more of D. Wilson playing safety.

I thought Richard was the DB whisperer. But yet they never turn to look for the ball. Get PI's instead.
Frustrating. But if the pass rush could do their job, it may help, but then they just drop the ball anyway.
I still say I will never see another play like when Heath was coming down from the safety position and the pass hit him on a line in the back of his head. It would have stuck in his facemask if he turned 20 degrees. The probabilty of that was lower thatn getting hit by lightning in Los Angeles

Scheme is a big part of it as well. Guys are not is position to go get bad throws or tipped passes. They’re too busy guarding their zone where no offensive player is within 20 yards. That’s why I said Wilson was likely out of position all preseason. He was too often around the ball and able to actually catch it. He must not have been where the scheme told him to be.

Shhhh. Didn't you know that we only criticize Marinelli for defensive problems here? Richard can do no wrong according to people on this site.

It really is something. With how many opportunities the D had for GIMME int's, they should have at least come up with a couple of them yesterday.

Interceptions are forced by the defense. That means pressure from the line much more than it does playing the ball. The dlilne isn't getting it done right now.
The D-line sucks, but when balls are popping up into the air, right next to players, or hitting defenders in the hands, those need to be INT's. That isn't on the D-line.

On the upside, if it would have stuck in his helmet it would have counted as a pick...

I understand that pressure helps forcing turnovers.

But with Dallas, even when they get pressure they don't force a lot of interceptions. It's been that way since 2014. Last year we were 9th in the league in pressure rate according to Football Outsiders yet we only forced 9 interceptions
