I don't know why, but I do know that the fumble before the half changed the game. Instead of going down and getting a FG, provided we could make a FG, the fumble gets them great FP and it isn't 13-7 good guys, it is 14-10 bad guys.
Totally agree.

That play was a killer; also obviously the punt retun for a score, the Jacobs 70+ yard score, the holding on the long kick return, and the early drop by Bennett (right in the hands!) all hurt. I'm still scratching my head how we lost that game, but obvioulsy and handful of key plays had a lot to do with it.

That fumble may have started the inevitable tide change but it was NOT the reason we lost. Our O-Line flat out sucked and the D was suckin as well. Quit blaming Barber like he single handedly caused our melt down....this is nothin new in December.
He may not run like the Barber of old but he's got more heart than just about anyone on the team! Get off his back.

I agree, it was a bad play but it happens, what if the choice fumble wasn't overturned, would everyone say that we should cut him?

Our defense was freaking horrible yesterday, Nobody could tackle and we let Steve Smith yet again destroy us.

Exactly. We couldn't cover him for nuthin! How bout that 80 yd run by "slow Jacobs" that nobody seemed to stop? That Barber's fault too?!
Just tired of all the finger pointing and whining.

You remind me of that dude yelling " leave brittany alone":lmao2:

But anyway, barber has not been the same back we fell in love with. When he was a finisher is when he was at his best. He's just not an everydown back. For some reason he keeps trying to go outside. I know the line hasnt blocked well in the run game this year but he has to get in the hole quicker. I think choice and jones are the answer with barber as your short yardage and goal line back. By the way, choice was layin on the ground when they took the ball away, not even close to barbers game changing fumble. Apples and oranges.

Well, I for one, didn't say he SINGLE handedly cost Dallas the game. I do believe that momentum is a HUGE thing, and that turn of events was a HUGE play. Fumbles happen. I am not throwing down some indictment that he is terrible because he fumbled. I was just pointing out that, IN MY OPINION, that was a big sequence of events leading up to halftime.

Glad I remind ya of someone. BTW, I didn't make the apples and oranges fumble comparison. Learn to read better.

It wasn't just the fumble. He also ran terrible as he kept trying to bounce outside, which he simply is not capable of doing even against a bad defense. And running a 1 yard route and turning around on a 4th and 3 was inexcusable.

The game was not all Barber's fault by a long shot, but if I'm making a list of scapegoats his name is pretty much near the top.

I appreciate his heart, but I'd like to see it on the bench more.

Why get off his back? He is playing like crap. Has been for some time. He can pick up the blitz OK, but he is being paid to be a difference maker. If he is the heart of the team as many claim, that explains why we are continually a middle of the pack type team. Barber is just another guy being overpaid. I expect a quite a bit of turnover with our new coach and I expect Barber to be playing elsewhere next season. For the good of the Cowboys I hope he is gone one way or another.
