OK -- here's a quick pre-game heads-up! If you're one of those jaspers who think this game with Detroit will be a cakewalk, you'd likely do well to enroll for psychoanalysis! Detroit is #3 in the NFL in offense, who are averaging 28 points a game! This Cowboys' defense will be tested -- let there be no doubt about that. Dak needs to keep his head on straight for this contest and implement his best version of the guy that he was when he first replaced Romo and shocked the world with his command of the simplistic, but solid offense that he led so well. ;)

Thought CBS primarily did AFC games.
The league changed the rules a few years back, I think around 2014, to allow CBS and Fox to "flex" games for local market coverage. I think it has to do with both networks being able to carry at least 1 game each season locally. So for example, CBS Dallas gets to carry at least 1 Cowboys game while Fox Baltimore could carry at least one Ravens game. With Thursday Night, Sunday Night and Monday night games it is possible some local networks might not get a chance to carry the home team if the home team is in the conference covered by the other network. I am not sure I explained this very well but that is the way this works now.
Creeper is correct for the season it started - the networks call the policy "cross-flexing".

All NFL fans should take some time to read the article 'National Football League on television' on Wikipedia.
It is very long -comprehensive, detailed review of the NFL television coverage -- including the history of the broadcast ageements, contracts, coverage and rights.
One can also pull up 'Creating the Schsdule' on NFL.com for an explanation on how "Cross-flexing" works, along with how other policies, rules, etc on how the NFL tv schedule is created.

So some of our few special fans here will me made to hear Romo for 3 hours:D
Always sync the tv broadcast to radio and listen to Babe and Brad instead of tv announcers. So much better listening to homers.

CBS the past few years has been allowed to carry NFC vs NFC games and im happy for it

Fox is horrible...its worst than that jug of cat urine and cigarette butts in the right side of the basement corner behind the purple cover
