Why is ESPN making a big deal on TO comment?

TO made a comment that he exceeded expectations.

And ESPN keeps bashing it. I ask why? First I would like to know the question that was asked because I have a feeling that it was taking out of context.

Its like they don't get enough of bashing this guy. The one guy was saying how TO always says me and I and not we.

But earlier in the interview he was saying how the team was doing great.

I just don't get it.

It is obvious TO was referring to the fact that he came back from his injury this quickly and played well. He was a threat.

It is ok. This is why parcells ignores that stuff. I think he exceeded expectations. He came back in less than two weeks from a surgery that is minimum 2 weeks and up to 4 weeks. Isnt thta exceeding expectations?

The comment was a bit arrogant. Even so, it's actually true considering most people weren't expecting him to play in this game (much less go 5 for 88) after fracturing his finger TWO WEEKS AGO!!!

Way I look at it is if any player can go on game day then he should be out there. TO went through practice and was ready to go so he played.

DAL-PHI is the Monday-Nigher. Coincidentally carried by ESPN.

They're going to make a big deal out of everything. Prepare for the hype. It's gonna be gross.

I'm pretty sure the question posed to him was how do you think you did or how would you rate your performance. He answered it honestly as he always does. Now it's being run out of context to try to prove to the world that TO will never change. Keep it up ESPN. You already have me playing CDs at work now so I don't have to listed to your biased garbage. Keep it up.

because if ESPN bashes the loudest player out there, it's news. it gets people riled up one way or another. and now look, you've come in here to start an ESPN thread that just gives them more free promo.

just quit being a part of the parade one way or another and it either goes away or you just dont' care anymore. either way, problem solved. : )

Just heard the comment. Sounds like he was talking about coming back from the hand injury to me.

I believe you're right. I doubt very seriously Philly would have back-to-back Monday Nighters on its own field.

I thought originally the game was going to be on the Sunday Night schedule as one of those rotation games. But the FOX crew is going to be in Philadelphia next week so I take it it's going to be on FOX.

:hammer:

Also, TO gave plenty of props to the team but somehow all of those comments were ignored.

If you need to know what kind of "objectivity" is available on ESPN, think back to January, 2005 and the gushes of praise and amazement that he was going to play in the SB after breaking his ankle a month earlier. No arrogance on TO's part when he's running his mouth and "exceeding expectations" when he's playing for the Eagles. No Sir!! ESPN is a joke w/ their commentary...

If we was answering a specific question about his performance with the injury, then there was nothing arrogant about it. And yeah, it's actually true.
