I read and heard that Holmgren has visited with the Cleveland Browns.

This could be read two ways:

Coach mustache is desperate for a HC job
Or
He wants to get Jerra salivating after him.

As for me, I can only hope that Holgren eventually goes to Cleveland (or as we say in the movie "Stranger Than Paradise," Cliv-land). I mean, who wouldn't want to take over a lousy team in a lousy city; a team headed by a lousy owner. That instead of warm Texas with a good team and a $1 billion palace.

or maybe Jerra has already told Holmgren to keep on walking.

Cleveland is a very good franchise with great fans and tradition....and of course he could be his own man there instead of playing with one hand behind his back here. It seems like a decent fit.

Considering the Browns are talking to him about running their entire football operations and not coaching should answer the question.

Holmgren by most accounts is looking for a GM role.Cleveland has an opening for a GM as well as Seattle. I think he goes back to Seattle.

Burn on big river burn on......

quick who sang that about cleveland?

oh and the people that own the browns have a fascination with the 80s niners west coast tree and the parcells tree.

I think its time they .....branch out...if you will with a new thought process.

If Holmgren becomes their Head of Football Operations, wouldn't the obvious coach be for Gruden to get out of ESPN and coach for his buddy in his town?

Holmgren would be a good fit in Cleveland. He's husky, just like Manginus.
