Why is it so obvious to us fans?

What do yo umean back? We haven't been above mediocre since 1998. If you say above .500 I'll say that winning one playoff game is above mediocre, not regular season winning pct.

Come on now, I know a lot of people on here think they know a lot, but how many of them know more about football than Jerry - I mean really, honestly.

The number would be staggering.:)

Well it's nothing new.

Wasnt it just as obvious that Switzer was no long term solution.. that Campo was a total reach.. that two #1's for Galloway was way out of line... that QC had no business being handed the reins etc.

Thats true but it never ceases to amaze me!:bang2:

Maybe we're all idiots, and jerry's the one with the right plan.

Or maybe we're all just being misled by all these reports, and the real goal is Rivera.

I will take A or B,

Is there a C - all of the above?

There has to be something going on behind the curtains that we can't see, because nothing is making sense to me about this coaching search right now.

Maybe it's all going to fall in place, but I have a feeling it's 'back to mediocrity' for us.[/quote]

you mean we will stay where we are right now?

Al Davis was a HC for the Raiders and took them to a SB and was named coach of the year.

What year was that? 1963 (COY). So how does that apply to today's NFL? Did he ever coach Oakland in a Super Bowl?

How anyone can think he knows what he's doing is beyond me. Nobody even want to coach there because of him!:banghead:

Now my beloved Cowboys are in the same boat. I miss the Landry era badly.

Which part? We are all idiots or we are being misled?:)

I think it was the part where I said everyone with the screenname Dave-in-NC are idiots. Or is idiots. Whichever is gramatically correct. ;)

and Not so obvious to Jerry?

I just don't get it.

Rivera and one of the Ryans should at least get an interview.

Our defense could be great, but we want to go with an offensive guy as head coach, with no proven HC track record, and no proven answer on defense.

I just don't get the logic.

Maybe because we fans don't really know all that much (except AdamJT13)?

Rex Ryan might have been disqualified by default of bad blood between his daddy and Jerry/Jimmy back in the day. Rivera on the other hand might come into play here if we dont have a Norv announcement by Weds. Something might be up or at least Jerry will give Ron Rivera a much deserved interview....

It's because Jerry is trying to recapture the glory of the 1990's.
