This guy must be facing off the field troubles that have not come out yet or something. He is not ready for the NFL. He is only a redshirt sophomore. At best a 5th rounder as a project and probably will go lower. Good athlete, but still raw as an all around tight end.

Tight end Jermichael Finley became the second Longhorn to leave school early in less than week, announcing today he will forgo his final two years of eligibility to enter the NFL draft.

"The NFL is every football players dream and when my NFL grade came back, it was encouraging and I felt like it was in my best interest to enter the draft," Finley said. "I've worked really hard for three years at Texas to prepare for this and I think I'm ready for the challenge."

As a third-year sophomore, Finley started all 13 games and caught 45 passes for 575 yards and two touchdowns this season. Running back Jamaal Charles announced Jan. 2 he would skip his senior year to enter the draft.

Kinda surprising to me too. Might have something to do with the fact that Texas signed Blain, Howard and Harris all as TE prospects in 07. Might just think that he will not see as much playing time next year. I don't know. Either way, seems like it would be better for the young man to say in school.
