he's 6' 2" 245 lbs.

there are plenty of LB's in the league that are smaller then Lee.

Ray Lewis is 250 lbs, patrick willis is 240 lbs - arguably the top inside linebackers within the past decade.

luke kuechly is 242 lbs. jonathan vilma is 230 lbs. jerard mayo is 245 lbs...etc

I honestly had no clue he was 245 lbs until the other day, because all i hear from announcers/nfl network/espn is he is a good inside linebacker, all be it a little undersized.

There's 240 then there is 240. I've played against TEs who were 6-5 and 240 and one of them looked and played totally different than the others. I'd say Lee is avg sized for an ILB. He's not a big SILB. What he gets he does on instincts, economy of motion, and quickness as witnessed by his times at the combine.

Honestly if you look at Sean Lee he is not bulky, sculpted and cut like a Ray Lewis or Patrick Willis. He is definitely deceiving when you look at him, looks a lot smaller than his size.

He was 237 last year I think or at least listed. He's gotten bigger since his rookie year. So has Carter.

My first thought is that whatever Lee's size is for an NFL SILB, he's doing something right. Not the biggest, maybe, but I've never thought of him as undersized for the position, due to his smarts, skillset and strength.

Mike Woicik will guide him and Sean Lee will definitely do the work, following whatever plan the S&C boys have to make sure he's at his best size and in the best shape he can be in for his body type.

Lee is working out around 254 right now, everyone around him says he looks jacked. Lee himself says he put on about 10 pounds of muscle over last season.

He has never been undersized, it's just another excuse his critics use who can't seem to let go.

Wow. That's heavy for him.

I'm expecting a truly great season from Lee in 2012. Fantastic player, now in his third season and his second under Ryan.

Should be time to take off.

This is the first time I've heard Lee was undersized. Here's a pic I got at the draft party. He looks pretty big to me.

Hmmm....it worries me a little with him getting that big.

Ware was 245 as a rookie and gained 10 pounds every year the first 3 years of his career

I have heard, I don't know if it's true or not that the goal weight they set for him was 255. Now considering muscle weighs more then fat I can only assume considering he is around 254 that he a lot of toning and cardio work in his future to maintain his current weight and not put on a lot of pounds by putting on a lot of muscle considering he is only in his 3rd year.

...I always felt ended up coming to the NFL 10 yrs too early was Dexter Coakley. If he was on the roster right now with his quickness he could have teamed up with Carter and Lee to give excellent pursuit against backs and coverage on the speedy TEs the league is now featuring.

Lee was never undersized as a Cowboy. He never had any "size" related problems.

Dexter Coakley would be eaten like a baby kitten in a 34 defense.

Thank you.

Sometimes you have to wonder what these people are watching on Sundays.

Muscle does not weigh more than fat. Muscle is denser, but 10 lbs of muscle weighs the same as 10 lbs of fat.

Hearing people continue to say this is very annoying.

If his goal is 255, and they want him to put on more muscle, and he currently weighs 254, then yes, obviously they would want him to tone up.

You could tell from looking at Sean Lee when he was drafted that he could put a lot more muscle on his frame. He looked like a high school kid. When he brings that physicality to his game, he is going to be that much better.

Part of it is that people thought he "looked" small. As in, he didn't have huge jacked arms.

But you play with your lower body. That's what matters.

With both him and Carter in the 255 range, that should make for some nice size in the middle of this D behind an undersized TRat.

Sounds like a good plan.

He came into the league small at 235 lbs, hence why everyone says he's undersized. If you've looked at pictures of him lately though, he looks much bigger and much more toned than he did when he stepped into the league.

The guy is just going to always be a worker, he'll find a size he feels comfortable at and I think it'll be around 250 when all is said and done.

He'll never be a thumper though, some guys are just naturally big hitters and he's not one of them. That's not necessarily critical to success though.

Carter is 255? That would be surprising... it took Lee 2 years to get to his weight, Carter would have had to gain 20+ lbs of muscle in just a year to pull that off.
