The media, the owner, and the NFL have convinced the average American that the Cowboys are supposed to win, that the Cowboys have one of the best teams. That’s why everyone is disappointed. That’s why most are looking for someone to blame. “If we had a better coach”; “If we had a better QB”; “The refs screwed us.” It’s all BS because no one wants to face the truth. The Cowboys are better than the worst, maybe even slightly above average, BUT the Cowboys are not a top team. They are not a physical team or a strong team. They lose at the line of scrimmage. The Cowboys cannot compete with teams that that are multidimensional. Why? Because the Cowboys are 1-dimensional on both sides of the field.
The Cowboys have a good passing game that should improve if in the same offense two years in a row.
The Cowboys have a good pass rush, but only when the opponent is also 1-dimensional and passes a lot.
Beyond that, The Cowboys have nothing. They are not a good football team. There has never been a good football team that couldn’t run or stop the run. The blame game is simply fans refusing to admit the reality that the Cowboys have built a finesse team that cannot play with the big boys.
