Why is the bar seemingly being lowered?

Im not gonna lie i wanted Goff then we got taken I wanted Ramsey.I certainly didnt want the pick we took. I knew very little of Dak to silverbear gave me a breakdown.. Im a great Monday morning QB when it comes to drafts
I wanted Ramsey and King Henry in the second. Not because I was a draft guru but because I was a Florida St. fan and saw no one stop Henry in the college football playoffs.

LOL.. you said there was nothing expected from the Cowboys in 2016 WITH ROMO. That is a flat-our bogus take, it’s so bogus I wouldn’t have any problems calling it a lie. It’s your Dak love that causes you to make ridiculous statements such as this.

Begore they even drafted Zeke, they were ranked 5th as the odds on favorite to win the SB.

https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/pla...bowl-odds-dallas-cowboys-with-fifth-best-odds

They were even ranked 5th the year before when Romo got hurt and they started out 2-0 . And everybody knew Zeke was the MVP of the Cowboys that year in 2016, which is why they rested him in the Eagles game.
Just goes to show the disappointment your boy Romo was. Anyway the Cowboys are always picked by Vegas to get to the Super Bowl like the Lakers and Yankees in their sports. USA Today picked the Cowboys last and most publications had the Giants win the division in 2016. The only team in the East that was thought to be below Dallas before the season was Philadelphia.

LOL. One of the USA Today writers had them winning the NFC East.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2017/09/08/usa-today-sports-2017-nfl-predictions-new-england-patriots-win-super-bowl/644928001/#:~:text=USA%20TODAY%20Sports'%202017%20NFL%20predictions%3A%20Despite%20Week%201%20loss,Patriots%20will%20win%20Super%20Bowl

You are referring to AFTER Romo got injured, which again is what you claimed. USA changed right before the season started.

Dallas Cowboys (5-11): As exciting as RB Ezekiel Elliott and QB Dak Prescott are, it's unfair to ask two rookies to carry a team already stripped of defensive talent by suspensions. QB Tony Romo may not return in time to give Dallas a viable shot to reach January.
And BTW, they were favored to win the division in 2017, led by Dak, but that flopped. 2018 had them winning the division at 12-4 with the Sporting News but they dragged themselves into the playoffs and Sporting News had them winning the SB in 2019, but they didn’t even make the playoffs “led by Dak”. So basically if anything, the publications all said Dallas had what it took to win it all, but as usual Dak sucked..

The media, the owner, and the NFL have convinced the average American that the Cowboys are supposed to win, that the Cowboys have one of the best teams. That’s why everyone is disappointed. That’s why most are looking for someone to blame. “If we had a better coach”; “If we had a better QB”; “The refs screwed us.” It’s all BS because no one wants to face the truth. The Cowboys are better than the worst, maybe even slightly above average, BUT the Cowboys are not a top team. They are not a physical team or a strong team. They lose at the line of scrimmage. The Cowboys cannot compete with teams that that are multidimensional. Why? Because the Cowboys are 1-dimensional on both sides of the field.

The Cowboys have a good passing game that should improve if in the same offense two years in a row.
The Cowboys have a good pass rush, but only when the opponent is also 1-dimensional and passes a lot.

Beyond that, The Cowboys have nothing. They are not a good football team. There has never been a good football team that couldn’t run or stop the run. The blame game is simply fans refusing to admit the reality that the Cowboys have built a finesse team that cannot play with the big boys.

Keyshawn Johnson just backed me up on Undisputed....who I've grown to REALLY like....he asked Richardson Sherman, "what has changed, since the beginning of the season when EVERYONE said that the conman needed to reach the NFCCG to hold on to his job"....on a side note, Richard Sherman is one of the biggest tools I've even seen in my life....I cannot imagine his poor wife if he's married....watch the McCarthy segment that just ended and you'll see....he still doesn't realize his place on that show....he is NOT an equal.

This is the new Jerry Jones. An owner so afraid of rebuilding he'll stick with a coach in training for a decade and still had him in their back pocket had the coaching interviews not gone well.
He hangs onto players far too long as well.

Instead of firing coaches/players that show their peak, he'll ride them out cause of their ability to make the playoffs and ignore the fact the team ***** the bed in the postseason.

Its being lowered because many fans are enablers. They buy in to the hype and ignore the results. The local Dallas media and YT content creators do the same thing. Selling hope is agenda driven and big money.

About all I can come up with for those McCheese groupies here is "he's better than Garrett and his 3 consecutive regular seasons record."

That's what we have lowered ourself too now.
That regular season relevance hype team.

Nothing else. I mean absolutely every other detail of your OP I wonder the exact same questions as you have.

Spot on post brother.
Agree. Excellent post. Nailed it
