Why is the defense getting looked over?

everyone is so up in arms about Linehan, but why isn’t there revolts about the defense?

Tired of seeing the defense be really good at home and average to below average on the road.

Our offense could have been the greatest show on turf Saturday and the Rams would have still won because they were never forced to call anything more than halfback dive/halfback power.

Yep, the offense did enough. The defense got destroyed by a fat backup running back. That was the most pathetic display of defense I've seen from this team. And don't forget our pro bowl all everything cornerback Jones screwing up their only third down stop with a moronic hands to the face penalty....

Because the defense may have gotten a whooping a game or two, but Linehan has don't nothing for years.

The defense was pretty outstanding most of the season. Something in scheme that the Colts and Rams used to blow us off the ball we should have been able to adjust to but we did not. While they did not man up Saturday, I think the coaching let them down. The Rams had 2 weeks to prepare for us. They did not know they played us but had just played the other 2 possible opponents so the coaches had 2 weeks to prepare and maybe scout what Indy did to us. I am not sure they schemed the same thing but the results were equivalent. Our defense is not that outmaned, they were out schemed!

The defense lost that game
And we have lots of talent in many spots but it sure didn’t show
We need to upgrade safety and add another impactful DT
Not sure about safety in upcoming draft but it’s loaded at DT

Both deserve plame. The offense couldn't stay on the field after some key third downs or run the ball. THat hurt the defense.

The defense couldn't stop the run on first down and the Rams stayed the entire game ahead of the chains. THat's on them.

I think people feel like this was a fluke performance by the defense. I think most agree the offense is underachieving.

Because the defense was the biggest reason we had a good season and carried the offense on their back week after week.

We need to improve the whole team. Defense included. But I think we all feel good about Richard but people are tired of watching our bland and basic execution offense and are not satisfied with the results.

I dont think the defense is not getting scrutiny. 1T, 3T, and Safety need addressing that doesnt come from the bargain bin like the last 5 years.

Defense played poorly in this game, no question. Rams blew them off the ball and opened up some big holes. I do see anyone giving the defense a free pass in this game. Defense for the season I felt did a very good job but in this game they did not play up to their ability including Jaylon Smith and LEV.

Probably because the Cowboys were 22nd in scoring offense and 7th in scoring defense this season.

As for Saturday night, the defense got steamrolled. They were lucky the Rams only scored 30.

I would guess because while the defense stunk Saturday night, they showed up more often this season than the offense did. What you saw Sat night offensively was just a continuation of what we have seen for much of the season.

why cant tis team fire all cycliders, to many games of, either the defense works and offense doesnt, or vice versa. ps, te ST coach mst go

The defensive effort can be cleaned up with film study and work on technique. IMO, the game was too big for them under the bright lights on the road. They pooped the bed. It happens. They do need to get better at S and interior DL.

Totally agree, too bad Stephen just this morning basically said there won't be any significant free agent signings. They'll spend the money on the guys they already have that they like.

Idk I don’t think they forgot how to play. The were on a wet field and got punched In the eye and couldn’t even wipe the blood out to see the next punch coming.

They pulled off miracles this year in regards to field positioning and red zone defense.
