Why is the NFL after Zeke so bad?

Roll back and look at what happened with Brady. Sure he eventually had to serve the suspension but they didn't seem to be nearly this aggressive as they are against Zeke. Frankly it seems personal!

They do not want to lose this case. If they do, the only way they suspend him is if the accuser is cross examined by his lawyers....she wouldn't last two minutes. Neither would Lisa Friel if questioned. Losing this would lead to a precedent the NFL does not want

and they were ok with losing a case for a franchise QB getting caught cheating? That seems to hurt the game much more than a potential that Zeke might have done something even though it appears that the "victim" is full of questions

Because they've botched this DV thing from the beginning. Zeke is the Lion Rug trophy that they can trot out to the world and say "See, we got a big one". Unfortunately they were so desperate to have the evidence fit a pre-determined outcome that they actually ignored the evidence and screwed themselves in the process. I fully believe that Zeke is going to have his entire suspension vacated because they screwed him in the process. Many have said that the NFL will lose the case but just send it back to arbitration. I don't think that will be the case. I think the court is going to rule that the NFL already had a chance to arbitrate fairly and they failed thus the suspension will be vacated and the case is closed. Just my opinion, of course.

WTH are you talking about? They won the case against Brady.

I said they did a year later. But they didn't press nearly this hard during the season. They have filed every time they could to move up every date to stop him from playing the next game. The season that he played while the legal fight was happening they weren't nearly this aggressive.

They want to castrate men. To bring in more women because their ratings are falling. That's been the plan all along. Take out the violent hits. Put in more Pink. Build malls instead of football stadiums.

Nobody is playing American Football anymore at a young age. We've moved on.

In 10 years, the NFL will be bankrupt due to its own byzantine incompetence.

To right the wrongs of the Ray Rice debacle.

This. It's not personal against Zeke or the Cowboys. They are trying to appease critics of how they dropped the ball before. They've failed to act appropriately before...

It's like a make-up call in a football game. Of course...that's not how justice should work.

That said, Zeke's not helped his cause with some of his actions in the past year or so.

The critics and the lawmakers. Congress started mumbling about the lifetime anti-trust exemption after Ray Rice.

The league just needs to appear to have a tough stance on DV. This is about money, as it usually is.

Exactly here why they don't want to lose. Public perception is that Brady was caught cheating because the NFL said so and he must be guilty if suspended. If you haven't looked at the evidence yourself you will see Brady was rail road by the NFL as well... Brady just didn't have to live with the woman abuser title. If Zeke serves no suspension, public perception will have the casual fan raising their eyebrows over the kangaroo court they are completely oblivious to currently.

It is kind of weird. Trying to get the Judge back from vacation early to settle an NFL fight is the epitome of douchebaggery. When one entity has so much power and control over the other, the Judges almost always give the weaker party the benefit of the doubt.

If Zeke gets suspended unduly, it is a significant loss to him. If Zeke loses and has to serve the suspension later, it doesn't hurt the NFL at all.

That's exactly it. Trying to reverse the PR hit. It's a short sighted view because it's clear they picked the wrong case to right those wrongs with Zeke. Instead, this will only end up with even more egg on their face. And possibly Goodell out of a job.

We can only hope. He hasn't been a good commissioner in my opinion.

I don't see anyone protesting and the hatred Greg Hardy got is not there either...... people know it is wrong the NFL is pushing too hard...... they made their point and no one cares

If Zeke falls in the forest does he make a sound?
