He came in not as in shape as some others. They aren't gonna just hand it to him... He's going to have to earn it.

He will be running #1 soon enough.

McClain has been here for awhile. Probably a try hard guy. There just giving him his due but when it really counts the guy making significantly more money will be starting. That's Thornton. He just got paid and probably got fatter and showed up out of shape would be my guess.

He hasn't shown the handwork to get off blocks even when he is right for all of his explosive first step. Marinellie is all about motivational mind games with his guys. He does it nonstop. I wouldn't be surprised if throws rookies to the 1st and 2nd string wolves again either.

The problem is Wilber starting with Church behind him.

Wilber is really good with his hands. Lets him jam receivers, get off blocks and disengage on the pass rush. Both are good tacklers with no range in space. I'd rather have Wilber as a run down LB than Church as a starting S.
