If you take away the Seattle ps game which was only a few plays, it has been almost a whole year since tony threw a pass in a real game.
And he had the 3 ints, 2 were pick six's? and it wasnt due to injury his throwing arm side is ok, it was due to not playing
and then playing a good defense and being predictable, and not ready for the fast pace of a real game.
If put back in this year, I dont see how he can not be like that again.
Defenses are not going to let tony stand in a comfy pocket and beat them, they will go after him more than they do dak.
At least the smart defense will.
Think of this, the other players on other team, will have played 8 games and be in a groove, and tony hasnt played any games
and will take time to get in a groove if he can.
He may play poorly and win, and then get going in a groove, but worse case scenario is this.......
Tony plays, is off, loses 2-3 games and then gets hurt.
That hurts the teams seed status, and we are back with dak anyway.
So instead of playoffs @ 14-2 it would be 11-5 big difference.
The reason I keep saying next year is better for tony, is he could start from the beginning and
get in groove early on.
I am not saying Dak is the better qb or that Tony is, I am saying stay with the guy who has played
7 games in a row like everyone else, not a guy who has not played for a year.
Now Tony may step in and play great, but I think the odds are low that happens, I dont see how anyone
can just come in middle of season, and play like they did in past years.
Look at scandrick, he admitted he wasnt right, he had lost the groove he was in and he knew it.
It wasnt just a hamstring.
And Tony may play great his first game back and everyone says see knew he could do it!
But then next game or 2 not so good.
It really depends on how the D plays him, and if they cant get to him or not.
I think Dez lost his groove too, and still trying to get back in one.
It just isnt easy to get it back!
Now Dak , he is in a groove, and playing good, so why mess with that ??
he has been playing for years, missing no time? not a fact , but that is why he is in the groove he
is in.
To me it is just crazy to go back to Romo in this current situation.
Getting to the playoffs is not a issue, that is going to happen, but it is the seed status, and winning
in the playoffs that will be affected by going back to tony.
If they go back to tony, and then go to SB, and win I will eat crow.
I will be shocked and eat a little crow, if they make it past div round with tony.
