From what these pundits are saying, he would not interview any college coach until after Wednesday because it is national signing day.
Weeks ago, it was rumored that Les Miles of LSU was the odd-on-favorite among the college coaches because he is close w/ Jones and has coached in Dallas before.
Jerry himself has said he's not interested in providing on-the-job-training for Head Coaches in the NFL, but wants a guy that has been and NFL HC.
Another reason given was that Jerry wants to get some staff in here that will be here for a while. Hence, if Turner takes it for 3 years say, then the plan is for Garrett to step into that job for years to come. He'd probably get the same "promise" from Wade Phillips before naming him HC.
I personally think that any of the people that have been interviewed so far would be just as effective a HC as BP was. HCing is a MANAGERIAL position and that's what Jerry needs to get in here. Someone that can get the job done, not do the job. That's why good assistants are important, to take the particulars off the back of the HC so he doesn't crumble under the load...
