Turpin, Houston, and Fehoko are NOT difference makers and never will be....not even a mention of any draft picks or UDFA's landing on the final roster at WR....can we NEVER churn the roster at this position??? Just maddening!!!

We brought in a legit #2 and Gallup is healthy.
Turpin made the pro bowl as a returner.
Houston and Fehoko are not guys you just throw on the trash, but they are hardly locks either. Don't assume they're here come the opening game.
As for churn at receiver, two potential huge additions are Pollard and Deuce.
Send Pollard deep.
Deuce just looks like a natural ball catcher, and he certainly has the quickness to get open and get open fast.
Remember, Moore out, and McCarthy in. Should expect more WC passing concepts, particularly passes to the backs.

Bro saying we don’t churn the WR’s like we didn’t just get Brandin Cooks lol. Gallup coming back off an injury year 2 plus got re-signed, no reason to “churn” WR3 when you have him and a third invested in Tolbert.
Yeah....lets just keep going with "our guys".....risk is for losers....what's 27 years amongst friends?

I'm kind of glad to see Brown gone. He deserves credit for hanging around as long as he did as a late-round pick, but I think we were too enamored with his blocking skills.
it became complex when failures to Washington and Tolbert forced us to have to rely on special core ace Noah Brown ... he was really a 5th guy.

Noah Brown
Noah Brown? He isn't even on the team any more. Are you trying to prove we are indeed churning the roster because that's a perfect example of it. And a big part of why he was here for as long as he was was his blocking and STs play.

What do you have against WR's?
Noah Brown is gone as you hated on him constantly. So no you are turning on other WR's.
:lmao:

Let TC get here and we may see some good progress in Tolbert and Fehoko.
I will give you the Turpin, but he is not a key person in the receiving game. Easily 4, possibly 5 WR's over him, 3 TE's, and 2 or 3 RB's.
Houston was overrated last year, fan favorite. But I am willing to see if he improved as well.

You want them to churn the roster without even seeing them? Even for all the hate Jerry gets as a GM, no one should say he is bad for keeping the status quo for now.

Pinning all hopes Tolbert has a breakout season....

Nervous yet? :hammer:
How do you figure. Right now with Gallup out there, he is penciled I at WR3.

It's more like pinning hopes on Tolbert's development, Gallup's recovery, or an increased role for the TE or RB.

Wait until one or more of these guys get nothing but a passing glance and go do great things elsewhere....we KNOW the ceiling of Turpin, Houston, and Fehoko....ZERO risk of letting one or two of them walk. Before you continue to poo poo my take on this, please remember how ahead of the curve I was last July in regard to our WR corp being bottom 5 in the league....I took a ton of mess over it at the time.
ahead of the curve? lol there were many of us who knew the wr corps was going to be terrible. does not make you a prognosticator

How many teams have 4th, 5th and 6th receivers that are difference makers? Lol The goal is to have a solid top three that are difference makers. Turpin was brought in to be a difference maker on returns.

I'm sure the Cowboys view those guys as depth and special teams, and Lamb, Cooks and Gallup as the difference makers, but wouldn't trading for Cooks & dropping Brown be stirring the roster a little?

I would like, as I'm sure you would, a little more proven player as the 4th guy to step in if one of the top 3 go down, but the jury is still out on Brooks, who was a 3rd round pick in 2021, and there are other candidates on the TC roster.

It's also not as if all avenues are shut down now. There are still a few solid free agents, including TY Hilton, who wouldn't be a bad 4th WR if needed, and there will likely be a few more that come available with training camp cuts

Yes, that was poor planning that hopefully has been corrected this year. Not sure of the depth beyond the top three, but at least it's just depth and not any of the top three that's really a concern.

I kind of feel like Turpin has gotten a bad rap because he didn't have any TD returns in the regular season like he did in the preseason and he had a couple of fumbles. I think he's a dynamic returner who was often a step away from breaking one. He's not just a guy who is going to secure the ball and run into the coverage.

You have to develop players, it's the key to a successful football team. The expectations here are funny! They haver a very good group of WRs with Lamb, Cooks and Gallup so we'll see who steps up after the top 3. But Cooks is a huge upgrade in the #2 spot.

Turpin is a difference maker. The others I'd be fine with churning.

He got a bad rap, because he returned some KOs that he didn’t get back to the 20 and he had a fumble on to punt return. However, he did make the pro bowl which is kind of hard to figure.
