Why Not Activate Malik Jefferson?

Isn't he still on the practice squad? As far as I can tell, his strong point is playing the run, and spying mobile QBs. He's a little suspect against the pass. But we could use him on early down and rotate the DQ safety/LB type in on likely passing downs.

At this point, I feel like Vaughn is taking up a valuable roster spot, especially when LVE is out.

Why keep him on the PS if you're not willing to utilize his skillset for depth?

Am I missing something?

With Hankins out right now, I sort of feel like Jefferson is a better fit than Bell at this point. Surely, he'd be better at stopping the run than Kearse has been in recent games? Something tells me Kearse may be in his final season in Dallas (I'm a Kearse fan, BTW). Whatever happens from here on out, I suspect we'll be addressing the middle of the defensive line within the first two picks again.

Anyway, Jefferson is capable of helping us against the type of run plays Buffalo ran. He can also contribute on ST.

That is a great question. I thought we would see him before now. At least get some occasional snaps. Especially in those blowout home games.
I mean, I was completley off thinking it would come down to passing in the Bills game. But I was also not following as much as I normally do last week. The more I think about it, the more I realize how wrong I was. But, yeah, the guy is an athlete, and really a pretty smart player.

So, why is he just sitting around collecting dust? It can't hurt to give him a shot. If he blows the opportunity, you can always go back to the safety types.

How is he going to help the offense score more than 10 points?
Well, hopefully they prepare for the unexpected. I have faith in them. They're aware it'sa copycat league, so they know what to expect next week. We need to figure out how to win if we're behind. That's up to McCarthy.

That said, being able to stop the run definitely helps the offense. Otherwise, they just run, run, run the clock out and the offense doesn't have many chances. TOP is important. Stopping the run helps TOP. So, it goes hand-in-hand.

They need to go back to moving Parsons around. He should play MLB on early downs and needs to pass rush more from the inside.
I agree. They should at least prepare him for that. I think, though, Parsons wants to play DE, so he gets paid like a DE. I want to see him want whatever helps the team the most. If that's playing LB on 1st and 2nd downs, then that's what I want to see. I'm just one measly fan, though.

I don't think anyone is concerned with an offense that's carried this team for 5 consecutive weeks. We are more concerned with our lack run stopping ability.
Yes, part of the offense being successful is the ability to stop drives and give the ball back to the offense. These aren't mutually exclusive.

This Bills game reminded me of the time Cole Beasley first joined Buffalo , may have been a Thanksgiving game . Had no answers for Buffalos offense that game either . You can bet NFC playoffs teams watched this past Sunday thinking crank up the ground game .

Jefferson couldn’t hurt .

yeh, show as many college " highlights " as you'd like of Jefferson, .. college play tends to make some
players look much better than what they are at the NFL level.

It's a reason why they call them " highlights " ...

Dude is all athlete and zero instincts.
