last I checked they didnt lose a game this year...yet its Dallas staff getting picked over??

I am sure there are some pretty good coaches even at lower levels in NE. Both offenses look somewhat similar.

Have to agree. It's kind of a mystery to me why nobody is hiring from New England or the Colts. Both of those teams were very good this year. Head scratcher, to this point, for sure.

Because NE coaches realize that they're coaching on one of if not the greatest teams in NFL history, and they dont want to leave.

Their OC McDaniels already declined an opportunity to leave.

I wish our coaches had the same mentality. This team is set to win for a long time (more so than the Pats), yet it appears some of our assistants are looking to move on to teams with FAR less talent and shots at winning. We need to keep as much of this staff together as possible. They are very good.

I've been wondering this all along. Supposedly, there is one young coach of theirs who is being looked at, but it's nowhere near the raid that our staff could be facing. I know that BP is a factor, but Atlanta and Baltimore are slobbering all over our staff as well. I guess it just comes with success and being America's Team. When we win, everybody wants some of the magic. It's true for us moreso than any other club, including the Cheats.

I've seen the Colts OC is making the rounds for interviews.

Tho McDaniels from NE declined to be interviewed, the NE staff has already been picked over like shark chum.

And think about San Diego last year. Went 14-2, didn't win a playoff game and they lost half their coaching staff.

It happens.

Yeah, but he can't hold a candle to this guy.

While many are called, only a few are chosen to be part-man, part-basketball.

It's mainly just because Parcells was here, and he "knows" people here.

But like WG said, I saw on the NFLN ticker last night that Atlanta was talking to people from Green Bay, Indy, and Philly about their GM position.

After what Jerry said today as far as keeping assistant coaches, I really feel like Sparano might be the only other guy we lose. In which case, we'd be fine, IMO.

The Ravens asked to talk to Josh McDaniel and he declined until after the Post Season.

I believe Weis, Crennel, and Mangini were all hired from the Patriots so it's not like they are exempt.

Maybe because they believe that Bill Belichek is the one calling most of the shots now. Why hire an assistant if he really isn't doing anything? At least relative to what Dallas has.

Wade Phillips is pretty hands off with the offense in Dallas. That leaves Garrett and Sparano with those duties. Plus Parcells is familiar with Sparano. Is anyone really familiar with the very young OC of the Patriots? Do people see him as the guy running the offense with little input from Bill? It is a different situation.

Of course that is assuming that other teams haven't been looking into the Patriots. Maybe they have been, but the Pats coaches just keeping turning down interviews at this time.

Actually the Colts OC is Tom Moore and he does not want to be a HC. The QB Coach, Jim Caldwell, has gotten some interviews.

My bad. I was thinking Jim Caldwell not Moore.

I won't be at all shocked if he gets one of the 2 available jobs (Atlanta & Baltimore). I think Sparano is as good as gone to Miami.

If Garrett did leave and Caldwell did not get a HC job, I'd love to give him the OC job here. Though I could understand if Wade was more comfortable with Cam Cameron having worked with him in SD.

Mystery to me how Caldwell has not already gotten a HC job somewhere.

Caldwell also has one of those Assistant HC gigs as well as QB coach. OC at VR may not be seen as a promotion by the NFL and the Colts FO.

I too could see Sparano in Miami, just because Bill likes "HIS" guys... coaches and players alike. Everywhere he has been in his NFL career, he has followed that mantra.

Lastly, I don't even want to see Cam Cameron here in Big D... Not just because of the Dolphins' ineptness this last season, but because I didn't see anything that stood out in the SD offense the year before, except of course LT. But hey... we did have Coslet on our staff once before.
