When Parcells hangs it up there will be a power vacuum.
Zim knows the organization, the culture the principals and has dealt with them well, otherwise he would not be here still.
I get so tired of those who'd prefer Tennessee's Fisher or Cowher of Pitt etc.
Those guys face a learning curve in Dallas. In regards to the system, the players and the Joneses.
Besides, Fisher would be crazy to willingly leave Vince Young. And if he is let go, what has Fisher done besides a Super Bowl appearance that would garner him the most glamorous job in the NFL?
Zimmer, if left alone, will produce great defenses. With the exception of our inconsistent secondary, Zimmer has produced. Year in and year out with the personnel cards that were dealt to him.
Why would anyone here want a coach from a losing team for the Dallas head coaching job?

I've heard people say that Fisher has done good things with the cap situation he is given and low talent level he has...........I have got to think that he is responsible for both situations to some extent........Hopefully dallas doesn't have to worry about a new head coach for another season.

Zimmers passive agressive bull**** has me fed up to the core. No Zimmer, and please no Fisher either.

Why not Fisher ?

I think he would be a great fit for this team.

I just dont want anyone else who's main accomplishment in the NFL dates back two centuries.

I think Fisher is only 48. Not to mention over the last 7 or so seasons, four playoff appearances, two AFC Championship Games, two division titles and a Super Bowl XXXIV appearance.

He knows defenses inside and out.

85 Bears and a bunch of losers.

Just what the Cowboys need.......

If he knows defenses, bring him on as a coordinator.

Well, thats 2 decades, not centuries.

Fisher has been better than Parcells over the last decade. And most other active coaches.

And that explains his many Super Bowl rings...wait.. thats right. Parcells was in the SB in 96. Lets call it a wash.

Okay, and how many has Fisher HAD since he has been head coach for 12 years?

Great question, Tom Brokaw, I cant wait for the follow up.

Fair enough.

What about Bill Cowher ?

YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS. He is the one constant besides Jerry Jones througout all the years of mediocrity. When you see guys like Ebenezer Ekuban go elsewhere and flourish....you know something about Zimms defense aint' right. He should have been gone years ago.

Honestly, I think I'd rather go with an unknown commodity that has a chip on his shoulder. I think that whoever it is has to have a passion and a chip on his shoulder to win. I think that was the difference that Jimmy brought to the table compared to the others that have coached the Cowboys.

I'm just curious, I know a lot of folks would like to see Charlie as the coach.

What are the views of Jim Tressel's coaching style working in the NFL?

I just believe it would be better to have a young guy with NFL head coaching experience.......I don't want the learning process wating period

Lets not relive the Campo years again.... The Cowboys need to have a Tough experienced Coach who can manage owners and Players EGO's

Fisher is not going no were and Zimmer willbe push over.....Jerry Jones is pushing hard for SB...He'll get the coach that he thinks can get the JOB done...
