Does it matter? During that same conversation Steve Young mentioned the 1994 49ers. Parcells and Ditka always refer back to the teams they coached. Jimmy Johnson always talks about the times he was coaching.

It was not a dumb statement. I think Emmitt is a bad analyst. There is plenty to criticize him about, but this statement is the least of Emmitt's problems. I just don't see it as a big deal especially since he may be right. The Patriots are a good team right now. There probably has not been as complete a team on both sides of the ball since the 1993 Cowboys.
