why pick an offensive minded coach?

if our Offense is the obvious bright spot on our team last season? wouldn't it make more sense to bring in a defensive minded coach so he can fix what went wrong cough cough pass rushers twenty yards down the field? slow mlb covering down field? cough cough.
 
I think Bowles is going to do an excellent job if hired. Garrett and Turner and maybe Sparano can gameplan some versatile games on the offensive side and make it that much easier for the defense by taking substanial leads.

It would in part be hedging the Garrett bet. If Garrett spits the bit as an OC, Norv's presence (in theory) should allow Romo to develop.

I would prefer that Jerry's focus was on bringing in a proven winner as the head coach, rather than having to settle for debating offensive mind vs. defensive mind.
