Why Romo needs to return

The lockout.

Romo needs to return this year so he can get some work in because we have no idea when football will return. The longer the labor dispute goes the longer Romo will be away from "real" football.

The lockout is possible insurance too. If he gets hurt like so many are afraid, and we do lockout next season then he's got time to heal.

Sorry, not risking my franchise QB behind this piss poor offensive line. I also have zero trust in any of our backs in blitz pick up.

Not going to let Romo get killed and either break something else or tear up a knee or something when the line/backs already proved they cannot protect him.

Unless we go 85% run plays, no way in hell I let Romo even suit up the rest of the year. I tell Romo that I am going to either draft him some linemen or sign some free agent linemen that I know can actually block worth a crap.

And if anybody on the team has a problem with this, I ask them if I need to draft their replacement as well.

Romo is way too valuable to risk getting injured in meaningless games.

I love Romo and really miss watching him play, but I agree with what you said. If he plays, I'll be happy that I get to watch him but I don't think it's worth the risk. I don't believe we have anything to gain out of him playing 2 meaningless games at the end of the year. He tears and ACL or gets a concussion and we'll all be saying "Why was he even playing at all?" For momentum into the possible lockout? If we had playoff hopes that would be a different story.

If there is a whole year of no football, three weeks of playing won't make a difference.

This.

Wow, can't believe how many people think you should play scared. Like someone asked before, why not take Ware, Felix, Ratliff, and Austin off the field, too? What if they get hurt? Why not just forfeit the remaining games altogether?

Good grief, this O-line isn't so bad that you can't play Romo for a few games. He's only been hurt twice in five years now.

that is ridiculous. Everybody knows what romo is about, we need to see other players get snaps. I would rather see mcgee get some snaps than romo come back for a lost season and possibly get hurt again.

Everyone else will be away from "real" football with a lockout too - it's not only the Dallas Cowboys that will not be playing.

What exactly is the "risk" if the bone is healed?

Kitna's not getting killed and we've played two of the better defensive teams the past 3 weeks.

If he's healthy and cant get up to game speed during practice, there's absolutely ZERO reason he shouldnt play.

I can't believe we're still having this discussion. He is GOING to play the end of the season. He says he wants to get out there, Jerry said he's going to be out there and he'd be on IR if he wasn't going to.
