Why the Skins are a much better team.

They have a capable defense, but are shifting schemes, have a new coordinator and might be trading Haynesworth. It's not as if that unit is going to be a well-oiled machine to start next season.

As for trumpeting Moss and Portis, meh. Portis is well past his prime, as is Moss, and neither were ever superstars for the Commanders to begin with.

The Commanders are instantly improved with McNabb. There's no doubting that. But in this difficult division, there's also no doubting that they are also still fighting their way out of the cellar. They might have made some ground on Philly if Kolb is a flop, but they've still got a lot of holes to fix to challenge for the crown.

I hate the Skins, but I see people underestimating them. thats a mistake.

Its not like they have no capable players./ Santana Moss, Chris Cooley, Fred Davis and Clinton Portis. If they grab Okung with the #4 pick, and Calloway/Fox in the 3rd there O-line isnt terrible anymore. They got a capable defense, plus Shanahan is an offensive genius he will get the most out of McNabb. The Commanders if they handle this draft correctly are a much scarier team than the Giants or the Eagles.
I still think they need a QB more than Okung. McNabb is near the end of his career and Campbell stinks. They could pick a potential future franchise QB with that #4 pick. They also should have picked up FA offensive linemen instead of a bunch of running backs who will have no holes to run through.

One-room schoolhouse?

Salutatorian of his home school class despite being an only child.

HATED Holden Caufield. Reminded me of a whiny sniveling little *****. The story is written very well, but I still didn't like him.

Moby Dick, sophomore lit. That is one tough read. My sophomore lit teacher had a thing for war stories, or at least those are the one's I remember. The Veteran, the sequel so to speak of The Red Badge of Courage. Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge stands out as well. Bierce did a wonderful job there.

I didn't particularly like Gatsby, but I did love the fact that Wolfsheim had human teeth on his cuff links. I thought that just screamed what kind of man he was without going into it very much at all. Wasn't until later that I caught the anti-Semitic theme Fitzgerald threw into him.

Loved Beowolf, and then read Grendel behind it. Despised The Scarlet Letter. So stupendously over the top it was nauseating. Never have liked anything by Charles Dickens either. Too many happy accidental random acts that tie his stories together. Not my taste.

Spring semester was nothing but Shakespeare.

Which FA OL would you have picked up?

Clifton for 7 million a year?

Pashos for 3 million a year?

Bueller? Bueller?

Personally I was hoping we'd sign Bueller for vet min + incentives myself.

I'm so tired of hearing this, their D SUCKED. I don't care what they ranked, they couldn't stop anybody when they had to. I watched teams march straight down the field on them at clutch time consistently...

I'm much more worried about the eagles than the skins. Maybe not for this year, but for the near future. The skins have added nothing but old past their prime players at the expense of draft picks. Same old recipe for continued mediocrity. Everyone said the the skins had changed but look at them now. They've signed a bunch of washed up big names. Looks to me like Snyder is still running the show, not Shanny or the new GM.

The eagles, on the other hand, have managed to get valuable draft picks for players they no longer want. They have 5 of the top 87 picks in a very deep draft. Here's what worries me about them. IF Kolb or some other QB develops into a very good QB and leader, they will be a very young and talented team. At the same time, the skins will once again be rebuilding after the failed McNabb years.

McNabb is 32 not 42. He's not at the end of his career. Now whether or not they'd be better off with a rookie QB is a little debatable. You want to argue a rookie QB is better than a Pro Bowl QB go ahead.

It is pretty simple. Skins won 4 games last season much better is 8 game and I think McNabb can help them achieve that
