Why was LVE pulled for Lee?

I must of missed why they pulled LVE from the game early. Was it to give Lee reps? Or did something happen?
Because this is the Dallas Jonesboys. "Sean Lee must play in the playoffs, he deserves it". Every time we did this the Cowboys lost.

Rod Woodson on NFL Network was wondering the same thing.

Huh - what where some of you watching - everyone on the front 7 got annihilated - including LVE

Lee at least got one or 2 plays where the RB didn't get 5-7 yards.

Again everyone got owned - didn't matter if Lee or LVE was in.

They were trying to rotate the Lbs.

The Rams were killing us on TOP.

Their oline was not just dominant vs our DLine but the were hitting the second level many times as well.

Agreed. I mentioned that in the game thread as well. The Rams did what the Colts were able to do which is get their OL on the Cowboys LBs. Made for some huge gains.

Lee was killed out there.

Again.

Every big run, there's Lee getting killed by an OL

They were getting killed on the ground with LVE and Jaylon in there early.

I don't fault the coaches for trying to change things up.

Yep. 100% dominated. Coaches, players and owner. 100% owned.

A little OT, but what the hell was Lee doing on that game ending run? He was hand fighting with the TE and guarding the sideline like we were winning and Goff was trying to get out of bounds to stop the clock. He was the only one who could have prevented that 1st down at that point and he didn’t even try to get to the runner.

They were trying to do right for Lee, playing him in his last game as a cowboy rather than trying to win..every game Lee played this year more then he should
Have the defense fell apart

Yeah, a lot of rookies are going to get gassed later in the season/playoffs if they're playing something like LB with starter snaps, and getting dominated in TOP.

They don't even play a 16 game season in college. Just shows how crazy it can be for a rook in position like LB when both LVE and Leonard were gassed today. That's a tough position in this NFL..

LVE is definitely a bright spot going forward though.
