Sure the defense sucked, sure we sucked, sure our team is the laughing stock of the nation. But Ware quietly had a good year. Ill admit it, it was so quiet that earlier in the year I had trouble hearing it. But through the changing of a D-Cord/ head coach Ware still lead the league in sacks, had two forced fumbles and even scored a Td. Wheres the respect?

Who cares?

Seriously.... its the Sporting News.

We really gonna rue this?

Dallas Cowboys Award Winners: Jason Witten, Dez Bryant; DeMarcus Ware Snubbed

The Championship Belt Pose: Jason Witten earns recognition as the best all-around tight end in the business.

In the miserable existence that was the life of Dallas Cowboys fan in 2010, a few rays of happiness did cross our paths in the process. Today a few of those rays were recognized and, as usual, another was unceremoniously covered with shade.

The Sporting News handed out their annual awards today, with Jason Witten being named All-Pro tight end and Dez Bryant being named All-Rookie wideout. DeMarcus Ware's name, however, was mysteriously left out of the announcements.

This is the second time that Witten has been named first-team All-Pro, also earning the honor after the 2007 season. He was named to the second-team after the 2008 and 2009 campaigns. Witten was the lone consistent force on the Cowboys offense this season, thriving regardless of who was tossing him the pigskin. Through Romo, Kitna and even unproven youngster Stephen McGee, Witten proved that he is a man amongst boys at the position. Don't believe me? Check out his rankings according to ProFootballFocus.com, and remember the cutoff for being an 'average' player at your position is between -1.0 and 1.0....

He didn't even make the top 5 in voting somehow

1. Clay Matthews, OLB, Packers 188

2. Troy Polamalu, S, Steelers 148

3. Cameron Wake, OLB, Dolphins 64

4. James Harrison, OLB, Steelers 45

5. Julius Peppers, DE, Bears 44

After this thread is closed we will add up everyone who commented, and gave the impression they cared. From that, we can extrapolate from the number of fans on this site who cares, and apply them to the total amount of cowboys fans on this planet. After that we can hopefully reach a 95% confidence interval as to the total amount of fans that "care." Then, and only then, will you have your answer.

ya knob.

Where was the disrespect towards DeMarcus? Matthews had a much better season.

Lol SN is ********, Matthews isn't even the best defender on his team let alone the NFL.

I agree -- Kurt Walden is better...;)

I cant believe he wasnt even in the top 5, he had a better season than Harrison and Peppers.

Except for the bit where Ware had more tackles, more sacks, forced the same number of fumbles and both scored 1 TD. I don't have access to the stats but I'm pretty sure Ware lead the NFL in pressures

All while Ware was more focused on by offensive co-coordinators while playing on a worse defense.

But you know, whatever.

It isn't that Matthews won, it really is that Ware wasn't even in the voting

He is referring to Charles Woodson.

Woodson wasn't even the best CB on his team last year if you ask Packer fans....

Well that just shows how intelligent Packer fans are. They clearly dont know the game that much. Woodson won defensive player of the year last year and his numbers aside from interceptions are the same.

Woodson is probably not the best pure cover corner on the Packers.... Tramon Williams is.. .. However Woodson is so great at tackling, blitzing, and forcing fumbles -- that's what makes him so special.
