They are lazy. It takes effort. Also they don’t want overpay players they didn’t draft. They have fetish overpaying “their own”.

The real reason is they don't have the football acumen, knowledge, skill or the ability to play in this arena with the professional GMs of the league.
Jerry's background is the oil business and Stephen's background is he happens to be Jerry's son.
Neither are qualified for their front office positions.
This is why this team has had little post season success.

Answer is simple. Goes back to the Deion signing. Stephen did not want to pay Deion. Jerry did. Jerry signed Deion and Stephen almost beat Jerry up. Fast forward to today. Stephen wants to save every penny he can cuz when Jerry dies Stephen plans on selling the franchise.

I read a lot of rubbish but that is the exclamation mark on it.

If you have problems with certain players i can undertand that. And feelings often make you say stuff that is stupid.


We dont use FA because we are bad at evaluating players. Look at our trades, drafts if you dont believe me.

We are aware of that but have no idea how to change that. Because the people in charge (FO, Joneses) are no professionals when it comes to build working structures to make a business successful.

The solution to minimize risk is: we stick to the players we know best and that are our own ones.

And Jerry wasnt even successful in the oil business.
His father bailed him out more then one time because he wasnt able to dig for oil in texas.

Jerry thinks if he over pays it makes his players bigger stars and will sell more merchandise and tickets. It’s a fact he has said so many times himself. He said when they signed dak everything he has got that was good he over paid for. Including the cowboys

It IS a bad strategy, but they are competing with other teams that are willing to do so.

Let’s call it not ideal, but it’s also impossible to figure you’re going to hit on every draft pick. No team ever has…and most of them aren’t ready to play immediately other than ST.
