Maybe Washington is just better than us as a whole, as much as I HATE to say that. We're paper champs for now.

It's not like we lost to Detroit. They came in with two wins. They have tons of weapons on offense. What they didn't have was a QB to put it all together. Now, maybe they do. What's inexcusable is how great we made their D look, even when they were short a couple of players. The loss was bad, but it was in no way "shocking."

Championship teams dont let the other team take the ball with 10 freaking mins left in the game and drive it the length of the feild.

Why did we bother spending high picks on CBs and bringing in Pac when our corners play 10 freaking yards of the WR every stinking down???

this is what i've been saying, this isn't a championship team, sorry.

we need to get back to basics. Use our OL and pound the ball. This will get the D with 8 in the box and open up our passing game (minus TO)

Three reasons for this disaster:

1) No commitment to the run game. 8 carries for Barber and 1 or 2 for Felix? It seems when Garrett is on the road he commits more to establishing the run in order to get the offense in a groove. He needs to do this at home as well.

2) No plays made on defense. You can't play 15 yards off the WRs and tackle the RBs 6 yards down the field and produce 3 and outs. Brian Stewart's continued inability to make in-game adjustments is killing this team. Aikman said it best- this is not a championship caliber defense.

3) Romo just had one of those Favre-like erratic games. He is far from the big problem though.

They gotta fix this defense. Good thing Cincinnati is up next. I would expect the coaches would have the team's full attention this week. Having said all this, 3-1 is about where I thought we'd be. I didn't expect to win at GB last week.

#1 playcalling was awful, just ridiculous, oh yah were gonna get felix involved, bs.....where was the screens to jones? the Power runs to the RIght? pitches, anything!! omg just, I believe Romo had like what 50 passes? or close (yes they were behind and he had to throw, you don't have to remind me, thats what got us into this mess at the end)

We probably threw too much, although the running game was dreadful when we tried to run it. Would've like to have seen them try Felix...but he did have a calf problem and didn't look right on kickoffs.

As far as the screens, it is tough to screen when the defense has 8 in the box and isn't blitzing. That's a direct recipe for screen disaster. You want to screen generally on blitzes or when the back 7 goes way deep in pass coverage.

#2 Romo, romo, I thought I was seeing Vinny with his rubberband arm our there flinging the ball, ever since the first quarter, when Romo was throwing the ball to the sideline I was wondering when it was gonna get picked off, just horrible throws by Romo, the ball was either-nowhere near the receiver, in front of the receiver, or late, just horrible.

He still completed 60% of his passes and the pick was on a helluva call and pretty darn good play by the Commanders. I didn't see a lot of bad throws, particularly when some of them were with the WR's getting held up by the Skins DB's.

#3 Defense, man where do I start here, howbout Tnew, okay he slipped I will give him that, but that stutter move just faked him our of his underwear, If our defense want to pick and choose which games they want to show up for, we might as well be content with a wildcard win this year, and thats it.

This just sickens me, You know I never predicted that the Cowoys were gonna win today, so guess what? I'm not feeding no CROW Today or TOmmorrow, those of you that did...GET TO IT.

The defense is the problem. The offense scored 24 points with pretty mediocre field position for most of the game and only had one turnover. You score 24 points a game, you're usually in good position to win games. But, if you give up 26 points a game and force 0 turnovers, you're likely to lose.

Some of things I noticed today... (I wish the coaches also noticed and if so I hope they can do something about it).

1st.... INTENSITY! I cant believe our Cowboys played like they did the last time on a Regular Season to the Commanders on the Texas Stadium. This kind of games are (and always will be) like a POSTSEASON for this teams. It doesnt matter if the game its on Week 1 or 16, it doesnt matter the team record, it just matter to play with heart and passion and we didnt showed that today.

2nd.... Defense, specially TNEW. I like this guy but for some reason it happens more often that I cant see plays made by him. I know some maybe say that the offense barely trow to him but when they do that they are normally get him. We really need to be more aggresive during games on D, we need to show up and make plays on the D side of the ball. Sometimes it appears that the D knows that we have a great Offense and they will make it... and this give us the 3rd point...

3rd... Terrible play calling, lot of pass, no run. Probably because the D didnt show up on a regular basis.

I think we deserve this loss and I hope we can learn from it. We need to do something on the D side of the ball, this D doesnt show ant kind of heart and intensity, and I think that's why the main reason we're not able to win late on the season and on the playoffs.

Its still early in the season and we still have a chance to figure this out, they (the D) needs to learn this INTENSITY and HEART issue know, because if we're expecting them to show it late on the season without learning it 1st.... it will be hard and painfull to see how we lost or cant win one of those games again.

They played as good as they could and won by 2. I agree that Garrett seems to go away from the run way too soon in some games. They were so agressive it does seem like some screens would have worked. They were also very physical with out WR. If they are not going to call such physical play then it makes sense for them to do it. If you can hold our WR on ever pass play and only get called 1 out of 10 times why not.

Today they was. Dallas is better than Washington tho at every position. We just simply were outcoached and outpositioned. DId not use our talent wisely nor our weapons. But I will not concede that Washington is the better team at all.

.

It's championship-caliber talent but not championship caliber coaching. Commander fans around me were confused on what Dallas was doing on both offense and defense. I like Garrett. But he was horrible today. I think he can bounch back. Not so sure about Stewart.

Was that Terrence Newman covering the receiver on the two touchdowns? First time he slipped, ok... but if it was him, the 2nd time he was just flat beat.

wierd

I see the Cowboys are already in late-season form.

The Cowboys lost this game because Washington took the game to them and they didn't or couldn't respond.

I think its because you guys didn't run. You became predictable and we just tried to have tight coverage. I think our CBs were outstanding today and that contributed to it a lot. Also our OL did a good job of protecting JC. I thought if you guys got a lot of rpressure on him then we would lose but we were able to keep him pretty clean.

Also this is the biggest stat of the game - Was 38 minutes TOP.

You guys didnt have as much time as you normally do. We limited your chances on offense and it happened to work out pretty well for us.

And no im not gonna say the Commanders are a better team, but they were better today. You guys are still going 12-4 or more, but the NFCE games are gonna be tough every single time.

I just hope we can build on this and go to philly next week and grab/steal a win.

Good luck til november.

You know, I do agree with this post. Pretty much on the money. We simply did not run the ball like we should of.
