Why we will be better

We are continuing the youth movement that paid off in spades last year with Spencer, Jenkins and Austin.

Adams had solid moments but he also had huge lapses. He was often injured and the dumb penalties grew to include cheap shots that were at suspension level. Factor in the image of him "injured" laughing on the sidelines as GB was running it up was the last straw.

Hamlin road some good fortune for some lucky INTs to get a pro bowl nod and a big payday and sucked the rest of the time. We had little if any drop off with Ball so good riddance.

The defense is more turnovers away from being dominate. One must figure a healthier Ware to team with Ratliff and Spencer will cause havoc. Add in second year pressure players Butler, B. Williams and J. Williams with added playing time and I see more pressure and big plays.

The secondary will be rock solid at corner and I have a feeling safety as well.

On offense the big issue was consistent execution and finishing. I am certain Garrett will learn from last year and some consistency at kicker would help a lot.

We have several players playing at an elite level: Ware, Witten, Romo and McBriar.

More approaching that level: Ratliff, Spencer, Jenkins, Austin, and Jones.

More still that are solid with room to grow: Choice, Buehler, and Free.

Solid vets: James, Brooking, Davis, Barber, Crayton, Colombo, Kosier, Gurode, Sensabaugh, Olshansky, Spears, Hatcher, Newman and Carpenter.

Players with potential and something to prove:R. Williams, Scandrick, Bennett, Brewster, B. Williams, J. Williams, Butler, Hamlin, Ogletree, Phillips and Ball.

We got a taste of it last year and I see a very good team that is hungry and want to become apart of the storied history of the Dallas Cowboys.

I think RW and the emergence of another WR will have more to do with us being better than anything else. The defense did its job last year. The offense is what failed us. A KR/PR would help, too.

This team will go as far as the O-line will take it.
it is what I say EVERY year before the season starts. This is WHY teams without HOF players at the skill position time and time again put up numbers. You cannot convince me that the Saints are better at the skill positions than the Cowboys. I personally think Payton is one of the best at calling plays...but people do not realzie how many "plays" Romo makes before he even squeezes off a pass. He has made this OL look BETTER than it actually is since he took over. If he is ever allowed to relax and go through his progressions on a consistent basis....this team would score 40 a game.

As good as the defense was, getting some more turnovers would help a lot, too.
