Why when a team beats us..

That is just the way it is. Espn is obsessed with talking about the cowboys loss sunday.

Yet they brush over the Colts getting absolutely dominated, the pats getting dominated, Arizona, yeah thats right Arizona beating seattle and you know joe gibbs skins getting booed at home.

Its all about tearing down the cowboys every week. They build us up, yes espn does because it draws all the haters and the front runners then they make a living tearing us down. They have been doing it since march.

Hey we lost a game, badly. However Payton Manning and Tom brady didnt look the sharpest this week nor did the seahawks but they continue to talk about Dallas.

It is easier for the local and national outlets around the country to call us front runners and fake fans etc, and it is fun for them to enjoy watching us lose. No other franchise gets treated that way. Every team has front running fans, every team loses at home....but no one cares when gibbs Commanders play miserably and lose or when seattle loses to Arizona.

Its the crap we real fans have to put up with, More people will listen if you are talking bad about Dallas than will if you are talking good about Cinncinati so that is what the story is. Look at cincy, 8 guys arrested this season so far and it is barely mentioned, all you hear about is how great they are and how great marvin lewis is. We have no criminals on this team, good guys excluding Davis and we are made out to be Child molesters it seems at times on ESPN.

I mean think about it, if you are a sports talk host in Arizona, of Iowa, or california, it will draw more fans to talk about Dallas in a negative fashion than it would to talk about the raiders and Commanders troubles.

because of that attention all the real fans get cast as morons and front runners. I challenge any of those people to come talk football with me. We will find the front runner quickly.

I think you make a lot of great points here Theebs, the only thing that still befuddles me at times though is that ESPN does not seem to follow the same policy when we win, lending further credence to the whole "bias" theory we often hear. It seems they spend infinitely more time highlighting the losses than the victories.

You'll just have to click it to see the image I guess. Works for me.

Bert Sugar should stick to something he knows, like boxing.

and another thing i noticed teams are always trying to rip off our saying"americas team".i think a lot of jealousy starts there.

That is part of the building us up so they can tear us down thing.

When we win, like last week against ny espn, chris berman and the rest spent a whole bunch of time talking about how the giants lost. When we lose it is because we suck. When we win it is because the other team wasted opportunities.

There are two things about this season that have stood out to me.

Number one is the most important and the reason I think we lost to the saints sunday. We always seem to get put on our heels early in the game in some way. Our defense has stood up to the challenge every week though.

Against washington, ny, tampa, houston, tenn and the colts they had early success in moving the ball and then our defense locked down and held the other team to field goals. This built momentum for us and later in the game put doubt in the other teams abilities late in the game.

new orleans we stopped then we scored, and then this scenario happened. The difference was new orleans put in the end zone. So instead of being down 6-3 like houston or 7-0 like the colts we were down 21-7. It had a lot to do with the loss.

The second thing is that we have been very good at goal line and red zone stands recently. Last week everyone just said the giants blew it which wasnt true because if you look at our season, we have been very good in that spot. The bucs didnt put it in, the colts didnt, the skins didnt in 8 tries, nobody brought that up though. Same with the houston game, we buckeled down and forced field goals.

Anyway, negative sells and espn and the local and national talk shows are about selling.

Beacuse teams like the Eagles and Saints have never won anything, they envy our team and History!:lombardi:

thats a silly thing to say in this day and age of instant gratification and "what have you done for me lately?"

The cowboys havent been in contention for longer than the saints have. We were excited because of the conference seeding significance. Thats not to even mention the fact that the media had pretty much picked against us across the board, and we wanted to prove that we are much better than people think

Cause we're America's Team and every other team and their fans are jealous of it.

Umm...No

It's because you idiots have been useless and insignificant for your entire history as a ball club. To even have the opportunity to play America's Team is the most exciting thing that happens to hapless franchises like the Saints. Wins like that are your Super Bowl because you have done nothing to prove that you can win the actual one big game, which we have won like 5 times. And I don't seem to recall you winning a Super Bowl, at least since the last time we did, so you're delusional about this "contention" crap you talk about. In contention for what exactly? A higher draft pick is about it.

This is why we keep saying to enjoy the victory and maybe try to buy a hat or something with the game's score on it. Get a little champagne.
Come playoff time, you will be picked against (once more) across the board and then will be eliminated and will get to talk about how you beat us the entire offseason to make yourself feel better. That is why this game was your Super Bowl.

Because now that we have Tony Parrish, we are the GREATEST TEAM IN THE UNIVERSE.

:p:

Excuse me, didn't the NFL and Tom Benson FOOL, want to move that hapless franchise, Are these ain't fans still on this board,
I cant believe we are still talking about the "saints" are you kidding take you win and shovel off already

Other teams hate that Dallas gets all the publicity.. A Saints player even said something like.. "We didn't even know who Dallas was playing"... meaning that if you listened to the media all week all you heard about was Dallas this and Dallas that... so teams see it as a slap in the face and play even harder against Dallas in the effort to gain "respect"..

I listen to Sirius Radio NFL all the time and I swear like every 3rd caller is a Cowboys fan.. it would annoy the heck out of me if I was a fan of another team.

It's very much a "what about us?" "You'll know who we are after this game" type of thing..

exactly my point. thank you.

Its the media circus that makes beating the cowboys fun. We saints fans took it as a shot at the media hype surrounding a team we thought we could beat (if we were healthy.) Hell, what team doesnt enjoy completely exposing another team?

Thats not the organizations fault ,They have a huge Fan base, That's why there Americas Team,. All these players that come here No the Deal, The will be scrutinized and Criticized for everything, Its The Dallas Cowboys.
The New York Yankees in Baseball
The Montreal Canadians in Hockey
The Laker's in Basketball
everyone knows the NY of the Yankees and everyone knows the Cowboy Star, and if other teams want to get press, then just Shut up and win super bowls, not 1,2,3 You need to win 5,
what makes me sick is how they (press ) wont admit we had one of best teams in the history of the NFL or how allot of our players aren't in the hall of Fame,

They get even on us

you hit the nail on the head.lol.im telling u this guy is good.

the media is not against the cowboys, nor are fans worldwide. This is evident in the way people jumped on the bandwagon as soon as it looked like there might be some success here again.
What this is, is called a backlash. You see it every year with other teams as well..like when indianapolis has their annual defensive meltdown.

Why is there a need for a backlash? What did we do to cause it?

Go away. Since the saints are the greatest team in the history of the nfl now, dont you have other saints fans to talk to? Geez..A backlash?

"might be some success here"

I am so tired of these classless saints fans here. There is a backhanded comment in every post.

Keep it up, everything balances out. Everything. You guys have had alot to say since sunday night. Everything evens out. All these constant insults are a waste of everyones time.

Don't even pay attention to these trolls, Again there jealous, Thats it,
