Yet they brush over the Colts getting absolutely dominated, the pats getting dominated, Arizona, yeah thats right Arizona beating seattle and you know joe gibbs skins getting booed at home.
Its all about tearing down the cowboys every week. They build us up, yes espn does because it draws all the haters and the front runners then they make a living tearing us down. They have been doing it since march.
Hey we lost a game, badly. However Payton Manning and Tom brady didnt look the sharpest this week nor did the seahawks but they continue to talk about Dallas.
It is easier for the local and national outlets around the country to call us front runners and fake fans etc, and it is fun for them to enjoy watching us lose. No other franchise gets treated that way. Every team has front running fans, every team loses at home....but no one cares when gibbs Commanders play miserably and lose or when seattle loses to Arizona.
Its the crap we real fans have to put up with, More people will listen if you are talking bad about Dallas than will if you are talking good about Cinncinati so that is what the story is. Look at cincy, 8 guys arrested this season so far and it is barely mentioned, all you hear about is how great they are and how great marvin lewis is. We have no criminals on this team, good guys excluding Davis and we are made out to be Child molesters it seems at times on ESPN.
I mean think about it, if you are a sports talk host in Arizona, of Iowa, or california, it will draw more fans to talk about Dallas in a negative fashion than it would to talk about the raiders and Commanders troubles.
because of that attention all the real fans get cast as morons and front runners. I challenge any of those people to come talk football with me. We will find the front runner quickly.

It seems they spend infinitely more time highlighting the losses than the victories.

SaintReginald;1228984 said:thats a silly thing to say in this day and age of instant gratification and "what have you done for me lately?"
The cowboys havent been in contention for longer than the saints have. We were excited because of the conference seeding significance. Thats not to even mention the fact that the media had pretty much picked against us across the board, and we wanted to prove that we are much better than people think

exactly my point. thank you.31smackdown;1229081 said:Other teams hate that Dallas gets all the publicity.. A Saints player even said something like.. "We didn't even know who Dallas was playing"... meaning that if you listened to the media all week all you heard about was Dallas this and Dallas that... so teams see it as a slap in the face and play even harder against Dallas in the effort to gain "respect"..
I listen to Sirius Radio NFL all the time and I swear like every 3rd caller is a Cowboys fan.. it would annoy the heck out of me if I was a fan of another team.
It's very much a "what about us?" "You'll know who we are after this game" type of thing..

What this is, is called a backlash. You see it every year with other teams as well..like when indianapolis has their annual defensive meltdown.
