is everyone being so negative when we one the game and it was against a division rival, I know the defense looked bad but I'm sure Wade will fix it, and Remember in an article where TO said they will bail the defense out in this game and that is exactly what they did.

I don't think we needed yet another thread addressing this issue, but I agree, we should be happy with the win, but it's fair to call out our defense and wonder why they played so poorly.

Newman out, Fergy gone for the year, our personnel out there is what it is(*run stuffers*, NOT *pass rushers*), Roy being the sale ole Roy.

Our season's over-at least we'll get 2 of the Top 5 picks-NT/CB, plus Michael Turner is out there(so no need for McF).

Heck-this could be good fortunes in disguise later on.

It could be because we didn't have our best player in the secondary, gave the Giants the ball twice deep in our territory on turnovers (leading to 10 points) and gave up some big plays as well.

The odds of our defense playing that poorly all of the time are about as good as the odds of our offense playing that well all of the time. It's nothing but an aberration on both counts.

I'm not so sure about the offense. We are explosive as all get out, yes Umenyora got hurt but the Giants still have Kiawunuka and Strahan and Tuck. Romo made some great throws early in the game when the Giants energy on the rush was at its peak. Late in the game they were completely helpless.

That was a clutch throw Tony made to Hurd with the score 38-35 and three minutes left on 3rd and 8 after JJ didn't get out of bounds, forcing our hand basically to throw it.

Big time toss and showed confidence in all of his receivers by going to Hurd, which is something that even Troy never did after Michael's career ended.
