A lot of numbers at the wide receiver position, but a ton of unknowns and could look drastically different in 2025:

-Lamb has become a true #1 receiver in this league. Just a matter of when and how much they are going to resign him for.
-Cooks had somewhat of an disappointing 1st season with the Cowboys and won't be back after this season. You can make an argument that MM just doesn't know how to use him right. Dak struggled to get on the same page with him all last season.
-Tolbert is heading into a make or break season. 3rd rd pick who has yet to make an impact after 2 seasons.
-Brooks was drafted as a special teamer last year, but did look good as a receiver in a small sample size, can push for more snaps.
-Ryan Flournoy is an older prospect that plays the x position. With Gallup gone, he will be in competition to land that role.
-Turpin played well in limited snaps and has earned trust with the coaches, but his main role remains as our returner on special teams

What happens if Lamb goes down?

This is another position where adding a veteran makes a ton of sense with so many young prospects at the position. Really believe we are going to see a top three pick used next year to address this area. Huge pivotal year for Jalen Tolbert.

Well said. Another area of this team with leaders who claim we’re “at the rim” but do almost nothing to get over it..

Absolutely mystifying.

Fa just created too many holes to fill in 1 single draft, all they did was sign a stop gap aging linebacker. They are going to have to attack DT, Edge, WR, RB positional groups next year's draft. That's already many needs to address without the use of fa.

Cooks and Dak were very effective in the red zone one of the best in the league.

there is a reason we were trying to bring in a FA,i predict an addition of a WR either through trade or FA.
What evidence is there that we were trying to bring in a free agent. I've read speculation but nothing about any actual offers.

they brought in Zay Jones but probably lowballed him,i dont think they are comfortable with the WR situation especially with Tolbert at no 3.

Is there a receiver out there anywhere near the level of Lamb? I doubt there’s one on the level of Cooks and even Tolbert. It sure wasn’t Zay Jones. Lamb gets hurt you move Cooks who’s getting 10m into the #1 slot and you more evenly distribute the 1st and 2nd read that disproportionately went 70% to Lamb and Ferguson last season!

I don't hate the idea of them looking to acquire another WR but at this point in the offseason what options are there? I'd love to see them make a move for a Tee Higgens type but that seems like a pipe dream. I'm not sure what other receivers a team would be looking to move this late. Free agency do you go for Randall Cobb part 2? Take a gamble on a Michael Thomas? Maybe there is an obvious candidate I'm overlooking here, but the FA pool at this point seem to be just as risky as what's on the roster now.

I don't see Dak throwing to these unknowns when his extension is on the line. CeeDee, Cooks, and Tolbert will be his bread and butter WRs.

People were clamoring for a HB instead of the LB in the 3rd, but I honestly would have rather taken Tez Walker

We make a trade, then a few years later we trade that great WR for a 5th rounder

100%…getting a high end 2nd weapon has been an issue do years now. The WR is ok, but not good enough to keep up with the legit contenders.
You would think DT, Edge, WR, RB would be our top needs unless something unexpected happens. If this is suppose to be a rebuilding type of year, why not see if they could get something for either Martin or DLaw. Thats not the Cowboys way, but they aren’t apart of the long-term future of this team
