I'm looking at the number of targets these top receiver duos get...
I've been looking at the numbers for guys like Harrison/Wayne and Fitzgerald/Boldin.
I think the one I would like to see most emulated would be the targets that New England gave Moss/Welker in 07. They averaged 19 targets per game. Yet the Pats still ran the ball 28 times per game. I'm sure they ran the score up, and just ran the clock out.
I really hope when Dez is fully healthy, him and Miles really consistently start to get about ~20 targets per game collectively.
They got 17 targets with Dez gimped and out for a significant period of time.
The break down was
QTR 1 - Austin 1 target, Bryant 4 targets
QTR 2 - Austin 3 targets, Bryant 1 target
I mean I know it can't be easy with Revis out there. That's why I said earlier, I really think the Jets are probably the hardest team we'll play all year.
The two receivers seriously impress me and have me excited about what they can do this season.
Side note, I would really like to see a heavy dose of Felix early in the game, and if we can get to leads early, start seeing a nice mix of Murray or Choice take over the end of games, kind of how Barber did in 2007. Keeping Felix fresh and injury free for the long haul.
