Wilcox vs. Church

I have never spent time watching Church.
I did spent some time watching Wilcox after the game, and he looked pretty good.
He gave up the TD but that did not look bad.
He had the big hits.
He did not seem to make any major mistake or take any bad angles.

Anyone notice anything about Wilcox?
Is it the scheme or SS suits him?

How would you compare Wilcox to Church now?
I suspect he is faster and at least as good a hitter.
How about coverage and tackling?

Church is better at everything except the big hits.

Wilcox has improved. Both are free agents after the season, will be interesting to see how they play this.

Wilcox is a great hitter, better than any other DB on the Cowboys at hitting. He has improved as a pass defender, but is still not one of the best pass defenders but is doing better each game.

That TD was just a great play by Bell. Wilcox had a very good game. He punishes people. However, I just think Church is smarter and seems to know where the plays are going.

Church is infinitely better.

Wilcox hits like a freight train, but he's terrible in coverage.

wonder what it will cost to keep either of them.
given salary cap and other needs in the draft, i cannot see a big upgrade for SS.
we got DE, DE, CB, CB, MLB for D and RT and G for O to worry about.

Church's current contract averaged 2.2 million but his salary this year did balloon to 4.25. So I think both at best will still be in that range with possibly a little bit of increase due to the cap.
