Wild conspiracy theory or is this possible?

Ok...hear me out. Now that we have a chance to actually get the 2nd seed and a bye, would the giants really possibly sit everyone against the
Vikes just to spite us??? Think about it, they hate us and have nothing to play for.

No. They may play uninspired knowing a win only helps philly and Dallas but they also may want to redeem themselves for last week. They will not just sit everyone. They would look incredibly bad and catch all kinds of grief.

As opposed to how great they would like by playing, only to purposely lay down.

so are you gonna act like the Cowboys are the only team with a shot at the #2 seed?

Is there a shortage of CZ screen-names all of a sudden?

The whole team no, but I could see Jacobs fumbling at the goal line with no one around him to spite us.

Nope. Professional pride, not to mention player bonuses at stake. I'd be less surprised if the Vikings started sitting players for the playoffs.

The Vikes are going to go balls to the wall because they have a bye on the line. The Giants are going to play everybody because their is no reason not to since they are already eliminated.

I think the Vikes bounce back and beat the G-men personally.

Listening to ex NFL player, Brentson Buckner, on the local sports talk show he says guys play for their jobs in the final weeks so NO I don't anticipate that. Doesn't mean guys don't quit, but if it were me and you are not a "star" you best play hard or you might find yourself diggin" a ditch next August.

Well if the Cowboys were in the same situation as the Giants are right now there'd be alot of people calling for Dallas to tank the game for a better draft pick.

What's the difference? The same logic applies to the Eagles and Cowboys (both Giants rivals), as far as a Giants win helping to get a #2 seed, so the fact that there are a couple of other teams playing for the spot doesn't change the OP's thinking much, does it?

We still need the Cardinals and Vikings to BOTH lose.

Philly has the easier situation now, all they have to do is win. They dont require help for the #2 seed.
