I hate to say it and i am hopefully wrong,I dont see Glenn making it a whole season, his knees are bad.Has he ever went back to back seasons minus injury?I see Hurd stepping in and Showing he has got the skills.Last year he showed some tuff catches and speed.Take this prediction as u wish.I am smelling it though.lol.:D

I'd still prefer Glenn. His quickness is unmatched. Hurd might have great hands, but Terry is an under-rated weapon imo.

I think very highly of Hurd and wish him well and would love to see him get more playing time. He has a great set of hands and appears to be able to run good routes, the only thing he is lacking is speed, at least speed that Glenn possesses.

Let's see, who will make a bigger splash: Glenn or Hurd. Hmmmm. Tough one.
I will go out on a limb: Glenn!:laugh2:

What you are smelling might be teen spirit as exemplified by Hurd.

Well if Glenn did go down wouldn't that put Patrick in the starting lineup with Hurd or Miles coming in as 3rd? Personally I like Hurd as what he is "up and coming for when Glenn or TO leave". I'll take Glenn all day. His knees may be a little shabby but keep in mind all the time he "didn't" play with GB and New England for whatever reason. He has age but he's not that used up. I think we got Glenn at the right time...in his prime. He gets better with each season he's been in Dallas.

I just see things with this Hurd kid.I know he is from Northern Illinois but just watch,if he gets his shot, and he is very good on special teams.

Not a terrible prediction.....this guy showed us all a lot in preseason and ST play in the reg season.....plus T.O. is showing him the ropes....all positives

I wouldn't predict an injury to Glenn, but I really expect big things from Hurd. He has good enough field speed. I really think he could become an Antonio Bryant type player without the attitude.

I will be surprised to see Glenn step on the field in '08, honestly. Parcells is gone. He just got his big signing bonus. He's never shown me he truly sees himself as a Cowboy, but more as a Tunaboy. I'm sorry to all his little boyfriends out there, but I think his knee suddenly being well and us not hearing anything about it, was simply a ploy to make it to a point in this non-parcells coached season for him to collect his big payday and nothing more. My guess is his knee is reaggrivated or he just simply flat-out retires.

I like the Sam Hurd prediction though. We'd have our undisputed top WR on the field with his own little protege across the field. Crayton staying as 3rd. But I like this mostly because TO would be on the field with him and we already know he enjoys "mentoring" this kid, and possibly in the end he wouldn't even care if some balls started heading the other direction over his own.

Actually when Glenn didn't play a game last season it was Hurd who entered the starting lineup, keeping Crayton at the number 3/slot spot. This could be different with a new coaching staff, but I like Hurd being number 2 if Glenn goes down, Crayton is very good in that role as #3.

I know he is behind developmentally from Sam Hurd, but I want this guy to develop... Either Austin or Stanback; I like big physical recievers....I am all about that T.O. mold ( I am not saying they will even approach his career, but I would be content if they could play like he did.)

Right now I see Hurd as more of an athlete than a WR. He was not smooth in his routes last year and really needs to polish that up if he wants to have a chance at a career. I did read that he was making unnecessary dives at the mini-camp, etc...I'll mark that off as youth and trying to make a name with the new staff, but he has to tighten it up.

I'm not bagging the guy, I hope he comes though...just think he needs to make huge strides before he is even considered a lock for the roster this year.
