if Jason Garrett continues to let Marion Barber be the starter for this team. I am really hoping that Wade Phillips wanted him to be the starter. *** I hope so.....Would like to see TC get some more opportunities...

Don't forget:
Jason was already "in charge" of the offense...so I wouldn't expect many changes there.

Don't forget also that Jerry sometimes dictates.

Oh...and also: Barber is by far the best blocker of our backs...and we've seen twice where our quarterbacks got blown up by blitzes that RBs missed.

Garrett has said on several occasions that he likes Barber as the starter, I don't think that's changing in the near future. Garrett is the one that determined the split of carries in every game as long as he's been there, and who starts and who doesn't. That being said, he has also recently moved Barber to short yardage after the first couple of carries.

It will be interesting to see if Garrett benches any player before Sunday's game. Whatever he does won't surprise me.

He may elect to start the same players to judge how they perform now that he's HC; they certainly now aware of his demands/expectations from them. He could also elect to bench them during the same if they not performing. OTOH, he could easily decide to bench 1 or more players based on what they did before he took over.

Remember he did tell them that what happened in the past 8 games is in the past & now we looking toward the next 8 games. That could be a message that if they seriously stepped up their play they would remain the starter. Remember, he's got to deal with whether he's got any even adequate backups to these guys.

I think this might be the biggest thing, especially with Kitna who does not have the escapability Romo does.

Well I hope that we wasn't fully in charge of the offense....:laugh2: That is what makes me scared about having him as our HC after the year. Is that he doesn't recognize the best players that should be on the field. How long does it take him to get Dez involved in the offense?

Yes, Jerry does dictate, but even the causal observer knows that Barber is not running well, can't make anyone miss and has a difficult time accelerating away from defenders.

TC hasn't had the opportunity to get in there and block that much this so we really don't know his knowledge of blocking schemes.

Choice won't do anything without blockers. If the big boys don't step it up it won't matter who is back there.
