What will he bring to Dallas offense?
Use on him on Goal Line instances? (Blocking Skills) or catching skills.
Can he still block like he use to?
Will 37 be too old to dish out and take punishment?
    Will they hardly use him?
    ......and so forth.

Im excited to see him play. Maybe he was smart coming back knowing this could be our year.

Only Gates will be older at 39 if he plays.

It will be like 2018 never happened.

That said, I hope we have fewer sets with TEs on the field.

I’m excited to have him back and even at 60% of what he once was, he’s 100% better than anyone we have now.

The guy can still get open and he has great hands, just don't expect any yards after the catch. So the OC just needs to send him pass the sticks on third down.

I'll also add that with Cooper; Cobb and Gallup he should have a lot more room to work.

He can be counted upon to make the most of what he's got left to offer.

I'm pretty certain that entails many first downs that we'll definitely need.

He might not be someone to get the most YACs but he'll be a blessing.

so many over the last, what seems like 10 years, have said he's slowed down, can't wait to see him prove them wrong yet again.

Put him in the same offense sets when we had TO, send him down field

...I'll be happy as long as he catches the ball passed the 1st down marker.. ;).. Thats all we need. Keep the chains moving.

It was Dak Prescott who threw him his first-ever playoff touchdown catch. I think he's going to finally be the missing piece in the red zone. I know he hasn't been in the past because we haven't had to use him for that reason. Will be more interesting watching a 40 year old quarterback in New Orleans, LOL

I think we'll be pleasantly surprised assuming coaching has learned that it's a bad idea to have him run 2-yard routes when it's 3rd and 6.

Second or third-and-and-short, or any down-and-goal inside the 5yd line — for both his catching and blocking skills.

Who on this roster is currently a better TE?

    Witten is a HOFer.

You are asking the wrong questions.

Did Jason handcuff Dak to his locker?

Did Witten hold Dak hostage during the entire Offseason?

If we know anything about JW he will know the offense in and out...every players assignment on every offensive play.

Whilst he wasn't good for TV, Jason always spoke intelligent football.

Witten will start because none of the backups are good enough (yet or hopefully) to out play Jason. If Dak is smart he'll lean on Jasons knowledge

Not mad, but I don't understand why they didn't give the roster spot to someone who could actually contribute and make a difference.

I really have mixed feelings about him coming back. I feel he is a progress stopper. On the other hand he is an all time Cowboy.
I really love be Witten for what he has done since 2003. I really really urge you all to listen to his podcast with Ryen Russilo. I don’t think I have ever heard Witten being so honest. Don’t let the dog days of summer pass without listening.

Ridiculous. He should be retired and enjoying his family. I enjoyed watching the team without him and seeing younger more athletic TE’s replace him.
