Will Cooks have an impact that AJ Brown had for the Eagles?

I don't think it's asking much, I'm not here to cause a war of fans and if I'm a true cowboys fan. I'm just asking a question. Brown had a huge impact for the Eagles, I want Cooks to triple what Brown did, anything is possible! Go Cowboys!! Please give your thoughts

The impact may be similar but I doubt Cooks will have the volume. The Eagles rushing attack with the qb I believe led to defenses letting the Eagles beat them with the pass. It’s only my own anecdotal thinking but it’s probably easier for Hurts and he probably sees easier windows.

I think Dak will have a tougher route with tighter windows and, his comfort is probably going to be CeeDee first, then the others. Just my opinion though. It may change after seeing other replies.

Much much much different expectations / players.

AJ Brown is an absolute stud receiver and a true #1 go to guy. He went to a team that has typically ran with #2 guys.

Cooks is coming in and being asked to be the #2 guy who takes the top off and is QB friendly.

Will Cooks break 1,000 yards? Surely. But an impact like Brown had? Not going to happen.

I agree, but is it just the running game or his threat as a runner

Absolutely not. Brown is an elite WR. Cooks is a good #2. Lets be serious

I would be concerned about what that would mean - hopefully not because of injury to Cee Dee or Gallup. If Cooks can keep Lamb from double coverage, that's already a pretty big win compared to last year. Gallup was nowhere near 100% last year, but if he's closer to that this year, it could mean good things for the Cowboys' passing game.

I personally have Brown just outside of the elite, but your point is undeniable.

Brown>>>Cooks.

But maybe Cooks allows Lamb to be on Brown's level. He's not that far off

Yes. He doesn't have to be as good of a wide receiver as Brown, or put up better numbers, he needs to help the Cowboys dethrone the eagles as NFCE champs and NFC Representatives in the super bowl. So yes! Go Cowboys!! :flagwave:

No chance. Not only is Brown a better WR but the Eagles basically had no one doing anything for them to compete for touches. He made their QB and recent draft pick at WR better just by being there. Cooks has Lamb and Gallup to split catches with and has to deal with Dak at QB.

AJ Brown is the #1 guy. They have a receiver capable of 1000 yards in Cook. But the numbers Brown put up you're hoping Lamb can put up in the neighborhood of 1500 and 11. It's definitely in his reach.

With that said Cook should still have a big impact on the success of the offense.

If Gallup is back in form then it maybe harder for Cooks. But at the same time if Gallup is back in form it maybe easier to get Cooks the ball. All 3 on the field and may leave a TE setting pretty if he is good at running routes.

Only thing Cooks needs to do for the Cowboys is continuously beat opposing teams #2 or 3# Defensive Backs.
