No. It would be necessary for CeeDee Lamb and him to swap their roles in the offensive scheme before Cooks could entertain that possibility. It is not necessary for Dallas' offense to mimic Philadelphia's. It must simply have better execution on a more consistent basis.

I think its more the threat of run with the QB and Devonte smith aint no joke either. I dont remember AJ brown being as good with Tennessee and they had the best RB in league. It also helps having the best Line in the league which allows plenty of decision making time.

Yes please!! Thanks for having my back lol
Ok.

so IMO. His impact.

Not only is he very capable of get 1,000 yards and being productive. He can take pressure off of Lamb and Gallup as well as himself, who are you going to focus on, double cover if anyone. If one of them are not open, then there is one of the 3 TE”s that can be open. With those 4 as possible and viable pass targets. Or a RB coming out for a pass.

Then it can open up the run game, or a path for Dak to run. As they can’t stack the box all the time like last season. If they do stack the box on any run plays, or the defense is daring to say. We will stack the box to stop the run. So beat us in the air.
Well now they have 3 legitimate WR’s and a TE, and a 4th WR can at least be decent to be open if they go with 4.

Having Cooks can have an impact overall regardless if he is not considered an AJ Brown type.

My opinion is based on more of a big picture receiving offensive impact rather than just the addition of Cooks to the WR group.
And It's why it's still a head scratcher for me on the talk of Run the Damn ball and rest the defense speech.
The WR room has a 5th yr option #1 guy out to prove he is worthy of a big payday and a guy returning from injury who got paid last yr who is anxious to prove he is worthy of the #2 contract he was given. Then ya throw in the new stretch the field/speed, downfield Cooks and its just a little perplexing to see a run the damn ball approach.
But yeah I already know all the catch phrases on how McCarthy will be more efficient and effective and situationally aware with regards to the run game.

I'll say it again. Seeing is believing.
High volume passing combined with high volume poor decisions being made is what I fear. The more that things change, the more they stay the same.

I didn't know it was a problem for fans to hope our guys do well and set the bar high. You're right, we can be very successful with him here taking the pressure off others, he's got that speed we've been needing also

Missing the point I'm not saying he has to be all world! His presence can take the pressure off others

All I will say is Brown and Cooks should not be compared. One is pretty young with elite skill. The other is in the category of "not elite"
So neither can help their team or take the pressure off others and make others better

I don't think it's asking much, I'm not here to cause a war of fans and if I'm a true cowboys fan. I'm just asking a question. Brown had a huge impact for the Eagles, I want Cooks to triple what Brown did, anything is possible! Go Cowboys!! Please give your thoughts
He won’t have near the impact AJ Brown had with the Eagles. Lol He’s not as good as AJ Brown and he’s not even as good as Amari Cooper. Dream on!

It all depends on he and Dak having the chemistry. Hurts has great chemistry with his recievers. If Dak has the chemistry will all of his recievers, it will open up the offense greatly. With Cooks, you can't key on Lamb.

AJ Brown had almost 1500 yards last season with 11 TDs. He would’ve been our leading receiver last season. Cooks isn’t even going to sniff those numbers this season.

it is possible, but brown is different type player than cooks. He is heavier and a better run after catch guy.
Also eagles coaches came up with good ways to use him.

Have to wait and see how dallas coaches use cooks.

Phasing your thought properly will not take readers off-road. Jones signed Cooks for the purpose giving Prescott and the offense another playmaking threat already. You made the A.J. Brown contribution assumption. He, the front office, and others, did not.

I agree. AJ Brown is a number 2....
Where did you read AJ Brown is a number 2 receiver? He’s a bonafide number one receiver. Devante Smith finished almost 300 yards and 4 TDs behind him.
