With the amount of space they have, the Cowboys almost cant be done. They went into FA with close to 60 million in space and from what I can tell the only thing that really dents that is Murrays contract.

Could they get more active when starting caliber players start looking for 1 year deals?

They're going be "selectively" active!

Maybe they're waiting on big-name releases.

They can do anything that they want to do.

I would actually say they have been very active so far, it's just a shame they went directly to the bargain bin again.
I'd say they went dumpster-diving since day one.

They all fill a need, whether they amount to much is yet to be determined.

I wouldn’t look for any expensive signings. Those restructures for Dak and Lamb were in the plan to do all along and never had anything to do with big name free agents. They can just roll any leftover cap space into next year. The only player that will probably get a big contract before the start of the year is Parsons but that should create even more cap space.

I could see it like Cobb a few years ago. It is likely a situational thing.

This exactly. I believe your thinking is sensible. More deals are coming.

Bigger names? LOL. You're funny...everything now is way past the top 100 free agents.

I mean regardless of how we feel they typicall come out of the offseason with one or two "familiar names". Last year i'd say it was Kendricks. The year before it was Cooks and Gilmore. Before that Jason Peters and Anthony Barr......

I think they will snag a veteran with a name based on history. Not sure who though or if they will be a contributor.

I don't know if Sherff is cooked at 32 but if he has anything left in the tank.

Cam Robinson is the top OT still left.

Several WR Kupp Diggs Allen Cooper Cook Johnson Lockett

FS Williams

Not a whole lot of great out there.

I'll say this....free agency isn't about great. Great players don't make it to free agency unless they are too expensive or over the hill.

So knowing that.....I can sort of see the method to the madness of finding your own Zack Baun. Or your Becton. Finding your diamond in the rough. So look at all the 1st round busts and give them a change of scenery and see what you can do.

You still have to build through the draft but rounding it out with some solid veterans is the move.

They went into FA with closer to 12 to play with. They probably saved about a million or 2 with the Turpin and Williams signings but that 54m was mostly an illusion!
