Will Cowboys Trade for a player this season before the deadline?

No.

Last year was an aberration.

Very rarely do teams trade before the deadline other than because of injury.

Jerry made the trade last year because he thought Roy would put us over the top and into the Super Bowl.

Write down all 1643 names of the NFL Players. Remove the franchise QB's and star players that would cost more than a pair of first rounders. Place the remainder in a hat, pull one out.

The probability of hitting it is about that likely knowing that we know nothing about how Jerry and Stephen work.

As Roy Williams showed us all last year, very rarely does a player acquired in midseason have an impact on his new team.

So no, do not expect a trade again this year.

If so, who?

My guess Brandon Marshall or Brylon Edwards... Or Shaun Rogers...

I'd bet my lifetime savings (which isn't much) that we don't trade for a WR.

Unless a season ending injury comes up at a critical position soon (knock on wood), we're gonna stay put.

No. We need to go into next sason's draft fully loaded and somehow pull off a draft similar to 2005 and 2008.

if peppers comes available, maybe him at a cheap affordale draft picks, say a 2nd rounder or 3rd

or could be shuan rogers but i dont think so, junior savai is doing pretty fair

brandon marshall has no deep speed, so maybe brylon edwards but i dont think so, knock on him is he doesnt work hard and you cant afford to pay 2 top wrs big money, salary wise you cant afford it

so biggest weakness this team may have is at outside backup linebacker, someone to keep steady pressure on spencer

Trade for Crabtree or trade up and get Dez next year.

This year. Trade for TO.

I'd trade a 2nd rounder for any of the players listed in the OP....I wouldn't give up a #1 for anyone.

First I don't think we make any sort of move baring a serious injury at a key position. So outside of that I don't see anything happening.

Now of the 3 choices the OP gave let me discuss that a moment. The first one being Brandon Marshall. So they wouldn't trade him all this time, while he wanted out, but you think they're going to move him before deadline off a team that will have a winning record at that time? Yeah I don't see that happening, at all.

Edwards and Rogers...I see why they were mentioned. They're two highly paid players on a terrible team. But lets think about that for a moment. Why would Dallas want to bring in Edwards? Our recievers are doing a fine job and allowing Tony to spread the ball around and make plays. We're not bringing a WR in unless Roy goes down with a serious injury.

And Rogers...seriously? The dude is so over-rated. He's lazy. Once he got his money he didn't care anymore. Why would we bring him in, with the price tag he's got, in order to split time, at best, with Ratliff?

I can't see that move being made at all and frankly that one seems the least likely of the three.

I think that we could go this route. Romo can be a bus driver/playmaking Romo = Less points.

Running game and Defense can step it up and help control games.

So I would like to see some sort of defensive menace traded to Dallas.

I know it doesnt seem likely but we need atleast one more player on defense... a DE or LB

I'd say no only because I think JJ would overspend to get one.
