Will D-Ware Get 20 Sacks?

I think the NFL record is pretty much out of reach for Ware certaintly not impossible, but also not likely. 20 sacks however is still very likely. Ware has 14 sacks through 11 games he would need 6 in 5 games to get to 20 will he do it?

He has not been getting too many lately, for whatever reasons, double teams, holding penalties not called, holding penalties on our DB's.

Right now I think he has a hard time getting to 20. Unless he has a 2 or 3 sack game against Arizona.

No. I wouldn't. I'd still say that is an unbelievable accomplishment.

I honestly feel bad for Strahan that Favre took that dive on the record breaking sack. A dominating season that culminated in one of the biggest individual accomplishments a defensive player can achieve and all anyone can think about is Brett Favre pulling the dive. Go back through any defensive players game log and if they have a bunch of sacks at least one or two will be gimmes, it just happens. Strahan was dominating that year and is one of the all time greats, Giant or not.

As to Ware, I think 20 is where I'd set the over/under. I seriously doubt he sets the record, he would have to go on an absolute tear to close out the season. Not completely out of the question with his talent, but 22.5 is just an awful lot.

That's because he didn't get any sacks in the other three games (against the Broncos, Chiefs and Vikings).

He had 12 sacks after the Eagles game on 10/30. In 4 games since, he has 2. I am going to say he ends up with 19.

Okay, I'll go out on a limb. Yes, he gets 20. I think he has a couple of big games coming to push him back on or above the record pace. He just played two outstanding young LTs. There aren't many of those left.
